With our eyes locked, his lips found mine again. But this time there was no gentleness to the way he kissed me. It was hard and passionate. Every swipe of his tongue and movement of lips told me I was his. His mouth seared mine and branded me.
I tugged at his shirt, needing to feel his skin against mine. We must have been on the same page because he ripped his shirt over his head before he grabbed the hem of mine and did the same thing. His mouth was on my breast, nipping and sucking on me through my bra. His mouth on my body had me so wet and ready for him that I couldn’t undo his jeans fast enough.
As soon as I unzipped his jeans, I slipped my hand around his hardened cock and squeezed. He sucked in a breath and claimed my lips again.
“Are you sure about this, sweetheart?” He breathed against me.
“Yes, please.” I pumped him and pulled him toward me. “I need you inside me, now.”
He reached behind him and pulled his wallet out of his back packet to retrieve a condom. “Strip.”
We both moved quickly, ripping off ever article of clothing between us. Once his jeans were off him, I snatched the condom from his hand and tore it open. The heat in his eyes intensified when I rolled the condom on him and gave him a gentle squeeze.
He growled, lifted me into his body and wrapped his arms around my ass. When my back pressed against the wall, he sank into me and filled me completely.
This wasn’t like the exploratory, slow love making from last week. This was urgent, needy, and demanding. He pushed me to climax faster than I ever imagined possible. And when I screamed out his name as my released consumed, his chased after me.
When our bodies stilled, his lips found mine and whispered my name. He cupped the back of my neck and held me close. “I want to see where this goes. I want to try and make this work. I loved you once, and you said you once loved me. I want to find out if we can love each other again.”
My eyes welled up with tears. I had longed to hear him say words like that to me. For as long as I could remember, I loved him. I still loved him. I wasn’t ready to make that confession. Not yet. Maybe never. But the one thing I did know was that I couldn’t say no to him. Not after he said that.
Chapter 16
Logan
Ahuge smile coveredmy face as we wrapped up one of the best business meetings of my career. Carl and Jonathan Bennington loved the proposal that Madison and I pulled together for the advertising and marketing of White Crest Mountain Resort.
I had to give Madison credit. Her suggestions to my initial proposal made a huge difference. We may have won this contract without her changes, but they certainly helped.
They were so pleased with this proposal, they hired us to handle all the marketing and advertising for two other resort they owned in Vermont, as well as one in Maine. With this one account, we’d surpass our profit goals for next year without breaking a sweat.
If our campaigns performed well for these four resorts, and we increase their revenue, we would take over three more of their resorts out west. It was a huge win, and it would be a great learning experience for Madison.
“Logan. Madison.” Mr. Bennington shook both our hands. “Very impressive. I appreciate all the hard work you put into this and can’t wait to see this campaign kick off after the first of the year.”
“Thank you, Mr. Bennington, we appreciate this opportunity.” I said. “We won’t let you down.”
