“We were for a while. How come you haven’t said anything?”

“It wasn’t intentional. I suppose I’ve always known it would happen one day, so I’m pretty much prepared for it.”

“But that day is coming.”

“Is it going to be a problem for you?”

“I don’t see why it would be. Besides, I think it’ll be hot owning the Vice President of the Lost Souls’ dick.”

Said dick springs to life at the mere mention of it, and my smile grows. This is why she’ll always be my wife. I cannot get enough of her. Rolling onto my side, I slip my hand between her legs and kneed her inner thigh, rubbing higher and higher.

“You’ll always own my dick, which is now hard as stone.”

This woman keeps me on my toes. There’ll never be a day when she doesn’t get a rise out of me.

“What’ll happen to the club if you all get arrested?” Harper questions.

The feeling in my gut is telling me it won’t get that far.

“It won’t come to that.”

“But it is a possibility, isn’t it?”

I sigh. “If it came to that, you’d be looked after, and we wouldn’t be away for long.”

“Why do I believe you?”

Smirking, I shrug. “Because you should.”

“Guess what?”

“What?”

“Jay and I have chosen a middle name for the little one.”

“Yeah? Don’t keep me in suspense. What is it?”

“Your grandson will be known as Gunner Castiel Carter.”

Castiel.

I’m stunned speechless. It took me years to own my name. The name not given to me by my mother, but strangers. Though knowing it’s being passed down to my grandson is an honour.

“I like it,” I murmur, unable to meet her eyes.

“It’s time I let go of the past and all the hang-ups I’ve clung to. I have a family, and my son will have a family. I want roots and history to look back on when I reach old age.”

“That’s all any of us want, really, and you’ll have it.”

“As long as my son’s first memory isn’t of him visiting his daddy in prison, I’ll be happy.”

“It won’t be.”

And it won’t, if I have anything to do with it.
