“I read a lot of those daddy dom books on my Kindle. I guess I just got carried away in the heat of the moment. I’m definitely not into age-play, if that’s what you’re thinking,” Allie replied.

Penny sipped her coffee and waited to see if her sister would say more.

“But I think I know what you’re going to say,” Allie added.

Penny cocked her head. “What’s that?” she asked.

“That I’m in denial.”

“Allie, calling a man Daddy in a sexual sense isn’t a bad thing. I don’t understand why you’re upset. I believe you when you say you aren’t into age-play. Has anything changed between you and Jack, or is it that you want something to change?” she asked, sensing more to the story.

Allie picked up her Danish and bit into it, Penny followed suit and for a few moments the sisters were silent, each caught up in their own thoughts.

“Jack decided to introduce domestic discipline into our marriage because he thinks I don’t relax enough, and he sneaked a peek at what I read. I wouldn’t mind, but he’s calling himself head of the household and...” Allie stopped.

“And...?” Penny prompted.

“I don’t know!” Allie cried.

“Looking at your red face right now, I would say you don’t like the fact that you actually enjoy Jack taking a firm hand with you,” Penny said with a grin.

“Huh?”

“Don’t play dumb with me. I might not have been born in this dimension, but you’re still my sister, and I know you, Allison!” Penny watched Allie shift guiltily.

“A bit,” she admitted.

“A lot,” Penny crowed.

Allie glared at her, but it seemed she couldn’t keep a straight face for long and grinned. Penny giggled.

“Okay, so it is kind of hot, but why would I call him Daddy?”

Penny shrugged. “Who knows and who cares. It’s between you and Jack and if it works for you, why does it bother you?”

“You don’t think it’s, I dunno, creepy?” Allie asked seriously.

“Allie,” she cried, and crossed the room to sit next to her sister on the couch. “There is nothing creepy about anything you do together as a couple, so long as it’s legal and consensual. Besides, a daddy doesn’t have to always be about age-play. I see the daddy title as a definition of a take-charge man.” She hugged her sister. “What does Jack say?”

“He hasn’t mentioned it. I don’t think he even heard me.”

“Well then, don’t worry about it, unless you want to call him Daddy?”

“How did it work for you and David?” Allie probed.

“I like to play at being a little girl, and do all the things I enjoyed as a child. Colouring, dressing dolls, being pushed on a swing, having a daddy to look after me.” Her voice cracked.

This time Allie hugged her. “I’m sorry I asked,” she said quietly.

“No.” She shook her head. “It’s good to talk about my life. I miss it so much. I need David...” Tears clogged her throat.

“I’m sorry I haven’t been there for you. It was just so unbelievable that I couldn’t get my head around the concept... Oh, my God, so where is the Penny I grew up with?” Allie cried in horror, the thought having just struck her.

“I suppose she’s with my husband. Living the life I was living before this happened,” Penny guessed.

The sisters stared at one another.

Allie spoke first. “I can’t see there is a way back, not for either of you.” Her eyes glistened with tears. “I’ll help you try and win this David, I promise.”
