Trying my best not to think about how perfect she would’ve looked bent over the kitchen counter, her blue skirt rolled up around her waist, with my cock stuffed deep inside of her.Jesus Christ, I’m losing it!

Chapter 5

Kingston

Natalie Hanson was going to be the death of me.

She’d gotten so drunk at that party that getting her upstairs to her apartment was a logistical nightmare. It was like she was purposely refusing to carry any amount of her own weight, forcing Zeke and me both to carefully keep our hands on her as we brought her up to her living room.

And when we finally sat her down on her couch, the first thing she did was throw her legs over the arm of it, her skirt sliding all the way up to her waist. And as I tried my best not to notice the sliver of red panties sticking out from underneath the fabric, I turned my attention to Zeke.

“Anything interesting happen at the party?” I asked.

And Zeke shook his head before he let out a small hum. “Well, actually…I may have knocked someone unconscious.”

“May have?” I quirked an eyebrow over at him. “Zeke, that sounds like something you either did or didn’t do.”

“He was some frat boy type, and he was being a total creep with Natalie.”

“Do you think he was a credible threat to her life?”

“No, but he was touching her, and she wanted him to stop,” Zeke explained. “And it looked like she was a few too many drinks deep to actually stop him.”

“Zeke, what the fuck?” I cursed under my breath. “Defending damsels that we think arein distressisn’t part of our job description. We don’t know anything about this girl. Not really. And for all we do know, you just knocked out herboyfriend.”

“She told me she was single.”

“Fine. Ex-boyfriend,” I went on. “And who the hell knows? Maybe this was the one her dad wanted her to marry. And now what? He’s going to get a call tomorrow from his daughter saying one of the guys meant to be protecting his daughter’s life knocked his favorite, future son-in-law out cold. Wait…”

I raised my hand before I spoke again. “What do you mean? She told you she was single? Zeke, have you been talking to her outside of a professional capacity?”

“Just once,” he answered. “Just when she stopped on her way to class. I wanted to assess the situation. Make sure she wasn’t seeing something that I wasn’t.”

“What is going on with you, man?” I shook my head in disbelief. “Why are you acting like this is the first woman you’ve seen in years?”

“It’s not just me,” Zeke argued. “She told me that she wore that outfit tonight just for me. She told me that she wanted me to take off her clothes.”

“She’s drunk, Zeke.”

“Kingston, I—”

“She’s drunk, Zeke!” I repeated, gritting my teeth. “And again, we don’t know this girl. Maybe she wanted to use you to make that asshole you knocked out jealous.”

“You’re right.” Zeke somberly nodded. “Fuck, man. I really need to get a fucking grip.”

“Yeah, you do,” I agreed, crossing my arms. “And until then, you need to go home and cool off.”

“What?”

“You heard me. You’re free for the rest of the night,” I continued. “Maybe go out for a drink. Find a pretty woman. Take her home. Get this woman out of your system.”

“But Kingston—”

“I can handle this on my own.” I motioned for him to leave the room. “I’ll see you first thing in the morning.”

“Kingston?”Natalie cracked open an eyelid and looked over at me on the other side of the couch.

I spared a look down at my watch, quickly taking note of the time. It was around five in the morning, which meant that Zeke wouldn’t be back on his shift for at least two or three more hours, depending on how he’d decided to spend the rest of the night and how tired he’d be wherever he woke up.
