“It should. They won’t suspect me and it will getherout of my way so I can get him back,” the woman retorted. “I’ll just casually go over there. You keep an eye and do whatever it is you’re planning.”
“I’m going to destroy her like she destroyed me,” he muttered.

“Hey y’all, looks like you’re having a good time,” a voice said.
Looking up, Marleigh saw her and smiled. Maybe it was the alcohol and maybe it was the security of knowing that Zeus didn’t want this woman any longer, but she said, “Hey, Suri, want to join us? We’ve got a girl’s night out going on, with Paulie and Gray of course, but there’s always room for one more.”
The other woman smiled before she sat down next to Marleigh.This is so going to workshe thought. “Sure, would love to!”
Hearing a new song come on, she looked at her cousin and said, “C’mon, let’s show them how it’s done,” before she dragged him to the dance floor. With their attention diverted, no one saw as Suri poured the vial into Marleigh’s drink.

Sitting down after the dance, she grabbed her drink and downed it, then caught the waitress and ordered another one. While she talked, she started feeling strange, so she stood and said, “I’ll be right back, hitting the restroom.” Grabbing her phone, she made her way to the ladies room on unsteady feet.Damn I didn’t think I had drank that muchshe thought. Washing her hands, she felt a wave of nausea overtake her and she stumbled over to the settee in the corner and sent a text to Zeus.
Marleigh: Zeus? I don’t feel well
Zeus: Marleigh, what is wrong?
Marleigh: I feel like I’m going to pass out
Zeus: Where is everyone else?
Marleigh: I’m in ladies room. They’re at our table
Zeus: On my way, beautiful. Hold tight
She didn’t see his response as the darkness overtook her.

Seeing her head to the restroom he realized that now was his chance and he quickly but quietly made his way there, slipping inside. She was sprawled across the settee unconscious and he laughed. Making his way over to the unconscious woman, he looked down at her.She’s filled out somehe thought.Let’s see if I can ruin her life like she ruined mine.Reaching down, he tore the top of her dress, exposing a lacy bra.

“Where’s Marleigh?” Paulie asked.
“She went to the restroom, I think,” Chandra replied. “But she’s been gone a long time, I’ll go check on her.”
Walking into the restroom, the first thing she saw was a man hunched over the inert form of her friend. “What the fuck do you think you’re doing?” she asked as she went to pull him off Marleigh. He struggled slightly but was no match for Chandra, who quickly punched him and got him away from her friend. “How dare you take advantage of someone else?” she seethed as she punched and kicked the man that she finally recognized as being Marleigh’s ex, Colton. Putting two and two together, she realized that Suri was likely behind this as well and her anger shot higher, giving her the strength to knock him out and tie him up using her pantyhose.
When the door to the restroom burst open and she saw Zeus, she almost wept. The look on his face – fear, distress – it was more than she could deal with as she moved away from Marleigh. “Zeus, I don’t know what they gave her but she’s out,” she said.
He glanced down at Marleigh and saw the ripped dress, the torn pantyhose and missing panties. As he pulled his shirt off and worked to put it on Marleigh, he barked out orders. “Someone call 911. She’s obviously been drugged and we need to be sure that he didn’t do anything to hurt her.” He pulled the unconscious woman into his lap and softly spoke to her as he held her close. Glancing up, he saw the crowd of people peering in and when his eyes caught Suri’s and he saw the look in them, he knew who else was involved in trying to hurt Marleigh. “Chandra?” he called out.
She came closer when he motioned and he said, “Suri was somehow involved as well. Don’t let her leave.” She nodded because she had figured that as well, but her primary concern had been her unconscious friend. She headed out of the ladies room and as she got close to the other woman, she grabbed her and hauled her back into the room to wait on the police.
“Alright alright, back it up folks and let us in,” a deep voice said. As people moved back, the police and an EMT came into the room. “What’s going on?” the cop asked, seeing the man tied up on the floor and a woman being held while a third woman laid unconscious in Zeus’ arms.
“We think that they drugged her,” Zeus said, using his hands to indicate Colton and Suri, and then Marleigh. “Her dress is ripped and torn and her panties are missing, so we don’t know if he was successful or not in his attempts, but she needs to be tended to.”
The EMT gently took Marleigh away from Zeus to put her on the gurney that had been brought in, covering her with a blanket. He took her vitals quickly and then said, “We need to transport her. Are you going to ride?” At Zeus’ nod, he motioned for him to follow along as he made his way out of the bar.
As the cop took Chandra’s statement, Zeus looked back at the couple who were now cuffed and sitting on the floor. “She will press charges, officer,” he stated.
“Got it Zeus. Here’s my card so you can call me when she wakes up.”
