“I just need a little time.”
“That will not work,” Mr. Gallagher responds. “Carter, you had better come up with something. I want my fifteen million, and I want it now.”
My father glances at me before he looks back at the man exuding danger in front of him. “You can have whatever you want,” he tells him.
I gape at him. What the hell did he mean by that?
“Anything?” Mr. Gallagher queries with a raised brow.
I’m staring at the two men. Both just as bad as the other. I know just how evil my father truly is, and I’ve heard the stories about the Gallagher’s. I know how ruthless they are. They torture and kill without a second thought.
“Anything you want, it’s yours,” my father says.
God, he’s such an ass-licker; trying his hardest to get on Mr. Gallagher’s good side. He makes me sick.
My stomach drops when the Irish asshole swings his gaze in my direction. The anger in his blue eyes has me holding back a flinch. God, they’re so full of rage and hatred. I hold my ground, not looking away. My mind recalls something good my father once told me:
‘Never show a predator fear.’
And Mr. Gallagher is the most lethal predator I have ever seen. He’s sexy as hell, and the rage just adds to it. Power rolls off him in waves.
His lips curl at the side.Is he smiling?
“Take her, Finn,” my father tells him. “We will be even.”
This can’t be real!
He can’t be that much of a bastard.
Can he?
And fifteen million? Surely I’m worth more than that!

Istill at his words. He can’t be fucking serious.
He’s selling his daughter to me? What the fuck is she doing here anyway? From the intel we got, Destiny Carter is supposed to be at school.
“Want to repeat that?” The words rumble from my chest. I knew he was a prick; I just didn’t know how much of one he was.
“She’s a virgin,” he tells me, digging himself a deeper hole.
How the fuck does he know that?
“Fifteen mil is a fair price for her.”
I avert my gaze from Carter and look to where his daughter is currently tied to the bed. Her face is battered and bloody, but those emerald-green eyes are razor sharp as she glares at her father. She’s not made a peep since I entered the room. She turns her attention to me; her stare unwavering as she assesses me. I raise a challenging brow—and nothing. Not even a wince. Jesus. The princess is ice fucking cold. Despite that coldness, or maybe because of it, something stirs inside of me. The usual tightness in my chest loosens slightly, and I’m able to breathe easier.
“You think me taking her will wipe your debt?” I ask, my tone lethal. He tries hard to hide his flinch, but it’s no use. He’s a waste of space. I want to end him, here and now. But I can’t. I have so much more to do to this arsehole before I end him.
His lips thin at my words. “Yes,” he cries. “She’s worth more than that.”
I narrow my eyes. How the fuck would he know how much his daughter’s virginity is worth?
This fucker believes he is untouchable. He’s made mistake after mistake. And for every single one he’s made over the past nine months, I’ve been sure to be there. To always be one step ahead and anticipate his next move. From the trouble with the Croatians to the debt I allowed him to accrue with me. I’ve smoothed everything over, ready for when I make my move to destroy the Carter Syndicate once and for all. And that day is coming. Soon, he’ll be six feet under, and his organization will be in ashes.
