I take it from him and let out the rage I felt when the bastard—who’s currently writhing on the ground, trying to get loose from my brother’s hold—touched me. How much pain I was in when he held me down and allowed not only him but four other men to rape me.
Hayden shoves the towel I have just taken from the bastard’s body into his mouth, ready to capture any screams he may release.
I don’t even hesitate. The knife in my hand plunges into the fucker’s ball sack, before I quickly remove it and push the tip of the knife into the slit of his cock.
Tears leak from his eyes as blood pools from his flaccid cock. His screams are muffled by the towel, his body writhing in pain, and I’m smiling. I never thought that hurting someone could be satisfying, but watching the pain this motherfucker is in… God, it’s fucking amazing.
“I hope it was the fuck of your life with Deborah, Ricey boy. It was the very last one you’ll ever have.”
He shakes his head. “Pwease.” His words are jumbled, but I hear that one.
“Pleading doesn’t work, right? Remember, that’s what you said to Marcy. That no matter how much she pleaded with you, it wouldn’t make a difference. That you were going to do it anyway.”
Hayes takes the towel from Rice’s mouth. His pupils are dilated and filled with fear. I’ve never seen someone so frightened before. I don’t understand why he’s like this. Surely, he had to have known what would happen once I was released. I’m a motherfucking Gallagher. There’s no way I would have done anything other than exact revenge.
“I’m sorry,” he cries. “So fucking sorry. I had no other choice.”
Bullshit. Utter fucking bullshit. “Yeah, well, I don’t accept your apology, nor do I accept your fucking pathetic attempt of an excuse. You had a choice, and you chose yours.”
“I didn’t,” he cries. “I really didn’t. They would have hurt me otherwise. I didn’t have a choice.”
I twirl the knife in my hand. “Neither do I,” I tell him. “It’s time to pay for your actions.” I swipe my knife across his chest. “Don’t worry, Ricey boy, the others will be joining you in hell soon enough.”
I slice him from sternum to pelvis. The blood flows like a river, and I’m entranced by it. Watching the blood soak my hands and knowing I’m the reason this bastard is bleeding is a powerful feeling. Torture to some comes easily. For me, it was something I didn’t think I’d be capable of, but prison does shit to people. It changes them. I’m no longer the girl that went in, and I think my brothers are finally seeing that. Neither of them have taken their gazes from me as I disembowel the fucker.
I wish I had more time. I would have played with him a bit more. Prolonged the pain for him, just as he did for me, Shona, and Marcy. But I’m running out of time. I hover over him, the tip of the knife pressed against his chest, right above his heart.
“This,” I growl at him, “is for Marcy.” I shove the knife into his chest without missing a beat.
“It’s done,” Hayes announces, his eyes filled with pride and worry.
“Clean the blood off your face, Jade, and then let’s get the fuck out of here,” Hayden says softly, and pulls my hand away from the knife.
I get to my feet and move to the bathroom, where I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror. My eyes are wild, my cheeks flushed, and my lips have a full-blown smile on them.
I expected to feel guilty, but I don’t. Instead, I feel sheer relief. I use the back of my glove to get rid of the two specs of blood that were splattered across my cheek.
“Ready?” I ask my brothers once I exit the bathroom.
They both smile. “Damn straight. Let’s go home and get some food. I’m starving,” Hayes says.
I laugh. It’s so fucking good to be around them both.
We make it to the car without being spotted, and Hayes once again drives. It’s time to get the hell out of dodge.
This was just the beginning. I’m just getting started.
Heaven help the rest of them.
One down. Four more to go.
CHAPTER8
JADE
The doorbell ringing has me frowning. Who the hell is calling at eight thirty in the morning?
“I got it,” Mam yells from the dining room.
