“Seriously, bro, you need to put a big fucking rock on your girl’s hand. I’m your brother, I would never go there, but I’m not blind,” Elio says in a hushed whisper. “Your woman is gorgeous, and every motherfucker here knows it.”
The ring in question is burning a fucking hole in my pants pocket.
Jade’s in a black dress that is very different to the modest dress she wore at her homecoming party. This dress has a large V that showcases her cleavage and dips to just above her stomach. With each step she takes, I can see the deep slits that run to her hip, which means one slip and she’ll be showing the entire room her fucking panties.
My gaze goes from her creamy thighs to her face. Unlike the other night, her hair is curled and pushed to one side, a few tendrils framing her face. But what has my blood rushing to my cock is seeing those pouty lips painted red. As usual, she looks beautiful.
Before she reaches us, a man stops her, and she smiles at him. My hands clench into fists beneath the table as the fucker slides his arm around her waist as they talk. They're both so engrossed in each other, I’m surprised they even realize there’s a room full of people watching them.
I’ve never been one to get jealous, but watching this ass make Jade smile makes me want to rip his heart from his chest.
The way the two of them are close tells me more than I would have fucking liked to know. There’s no doubt about it, Jade has fucked him.
“Oh my God,” the redhead says shrilly. “I didn’t even realize.” She shakes her head, her gaze firmly on my woman and the ass that’s close to losing his life.
“Realize what, Holly?” Makenna asks as she stares at Jade.
Holly Gallagher’s voice drops to a hushed tone. “The day Granda Seamus died, he and Jade were talking, and I was in the car, so I overheard.”
“You eavesdropped,” her brother, Danny, says.
Holly waves her hand dismissively. “Jade said something about how Seamus used to tell Hayden how much he wished he was his son because the two youngest ones were gobshites.”
“He wasn’t wrong there,” Hayden points out.
Of course he wasn't. The other two are now dead as they tried to go against the boss. Against their sister. That’s fucked up. Especially when Patrick kidnapped Finn’s girl and almost killed her.
“Anyway, Seamus told her that she wouldn’t want him telling her father about her and Jacob. I never realized that Jacob was Finn’s right-hand man, until tonight.”
Makenna’s face lights up. “I don’t blame her at all.”
Denis’ wife sighs. “He’s too young for me, but he’s good to look at. I always love coming to visit Finn.” Her Irish accent is thicker than anyone else’s at the table. The woman was born and raised in Dublin and is my age, married to a man twenty years her senior.
Melissa nods. “Yep, Finn has all the good men. Alex is there too.”
“I’m right fucking here,” Danny growls, glaring at his wife. While Denis and Dante do the same to theirs.
Romero’s eyes harden at the name. “That fucker’s not dead yet?”
“Anyway,” Holly says quickly. “They look happy.”
I turn my gaze back to the woman that fucking taunts my thoughts daily and see that Holly is right. It’s the most genuine smile I’ve ever seen her have, and that fuck is the reason she’s got it.
“What the fuck is it with these Irish men?” Romero hisses. “Can’t they find their own damn women?”
“Excuse me,” Finn says as he gets to his feet, just as the motherfucker with a death wish lifts his hand to caress her cheek. Finn reaches them within seconds and speaks to them both. Jade’s gaze flies to mine, and she lifts a brow in response to my glare.
Makenna tuts. “Not even married yet and you’ve pissed her off. Hasn’t anyone ever told you that you never piss off an Irish woman?”
“What’s the worst she’s going to do to him?” Dario questions, and the entire table grins at his question.
“Oh shit,” Elio murmurs, and I turn just in time to see Finn walking back to the table with Jacob exiting through the door, but that’s not what Elio was commenting on. It’s the fact that Monica is walking toward Jade.
I push to my feet and straighten my jacket. “I’ll be back in a while,” I say to the table and start making my way over to the two women.
“So, you’re the fiancée?” Monica sneers at Jade, and that pisses me off. Jade hasn’t done anything to warrant her anger.
“I am. You must be the woman he was fucking for the past six months,” Jade fires back without hesitation. “Shame, I thought he had better taste.”
