“Are you going to kill me like you did the others?” Greaves growls, pulling against the bindings. I'm glad he knows what is about to happen to him.

“Been waiting on me, have you?” I shake my head, as Finn pulls the blindfold from his face. “Sorry about that, I've got more important things to be doing.”

His lips thin as he pulls once again on the bindings. “You'll never get away with this.”

I sigh. “Really?” I drawl. “You think Detective Barker is going to help you?”

His eyes widened in shock. Hayden and Da chuckle.

“I should probably inform you,” I say as I step closer to him, “that as of today, Detective Barker has been suspended, and all of his cases are now under review.” I grin at the anger that contorts his face. “It seems as though both Barker brothers have a problem with their tempers.”

“You always were a bitch. You never did know when to shut up,” he sneers at me.

I nod. Oh, I’m the biggest bitch he’ll ever meet. “My da probably would agree with you there,” I say, which elicits another chuckle from Da. “You thought you were a big man. Taking advantage of the women in the prison, knowing that some were vulnerable, some were high as a fucking kite, and most others wouldn't be able to say anything.”

I take yet another step closer so that I’m standing over him. “But you're not a big man. Oh no. In fact, you’re a very stupid man. In what universe did you think I would leave prison and not come after you?”

“Five years,” he snarls. “Five years and you never said a word to your family. Why now?”

It’s Hayes who moves first, his hand wrapping around Greaves’ throat.

“We knew,” he hisses. “But the thing about my sister is that she’s very much hands on. She wanted to be the one to take you out. If I had my way, your ass would have been dead the moment you touched her.”

I’m impressed. Usually, it’s Hayden who jumps in first to protect me.

“But I’ll enjoy watching whatever she has planned for you. I know it’s going to be fucking sweet,” he says with a grin. His hand tightens around the asshole’s neck, making his face turn a putrid red color.

“Caolán, where’s Lochlann, Sullivan, and Ros?” I ask, knowing those men would not have left. Not yet anyway. They’re as bloodthirsty as the rest of us.

The men in question step out of the shadows, each of them wearing sheepish grins. I can’t be mad. If I were them, I would want to be here for the big finale.

“Did you get what I asked for?”

Lochlann steps forward. “We did, although I’m unsure what those objects are for.”

I roll my eyes. These men have no fucking imagination. That’s what’s wrong with them.

“Strip him down and then take a seat,” I instruct them.

Lochlann picks up the bag from the floor and hands it over to me. “I wasn’t sure what you wanted, so I brought oil and lube,” he tells me with a grin. “Gotta say, boss, never did I think the Clann would find someone more ruthless than Finn.” His grin widens. “But damn, you’ve got him beat by a mile.”

My laughter is low, whereas Finn’s isn’t. The man is the most ruthless out of the Clann. What he did to his own brother… that’s not something that I could do. Though if my brothers were like Patrick, then I probably could.

“Don’t encourage her,” Rocco growls from beside me.

That, of course, makes the rest of my family chuckle.

“Scared?” I ask with a raised brow.

“I sleep beside you,Mia cara,” he says as though that’s an answer. There’s not a chance in hell he’s scared of what I’d do to him.

If I were to kill my husband, I would have done it before now. He doesn’t annoy me as much as he used to.

“Don’t betray me, Roc, and you’re safe,” I whisper so that only he can hear.

It’s funny. Coming out of prison, I thought nothing could hurt me, that I was hardened by life to a point where there was no way anything could affect me. Then I met Rocco Gallo, and my life changed in a flash. Now the man has the power to completely destroy me.

“Never,” he says fiercely.
