Page 98 of Craving Their Mate
They found the office, but it looked untouched. Rider debated looking for incriminating emails, but he was convinced he’d find a fully-functioning lab once he returned to Canada.
Once satisfied Delancey hadn’t been there, the men decided that Nate and Harmon would stay at the house until morning, at which time Rider, Trax, Dante, Jay, and Grayson would return. Of course, if Delancey showed up sooner than expected, they’d call for backup. Both men were confident they could take down at least three men, and from the looks of their size, Rider believed them.
When they arrived at the general’s house, Jay dropped off Rider. “I’ll be back at six to pick you up.”
Rider inwardly grunted. That would give him only a few hours' sleep, but he had to do what was needed.
Mrs. Armand had left on a few lights so he could find his way to their bedroom, not that he needed it. Outside the door sat a shopping bag of clothes and some toiletries. The Armands were special people indeed.
When he tiptoed into the room, Rider wasn’t sure what to expect, but it wasn’t seeing both Grayson and Paris zonked out in bed. He smiled and then headed to the bathroom to take a shower. Tomorrow—or rather later today—would hopefully be a success.

Rider had set his alarm for five thirty. Grayson and Paris both groaned when it went off.
“What’s the plan?”Grayson telepathed.
Paris would be upset that she wasn’t included, and he couldn’t blame her. “Jay is taking us, Trax, and Dante to Statler’s place, in the hopes of catching Delancey.”
Paris sat up. “I’m guessing I can’t go?”
“You need to rest up for when we return victorious.” Rider winked.
“Jerk.”
“If you can shoot someone from a hundred meters away or wrestle with a wolf, you’d be welcome to join us,” Rider said.
“You are a funny man. When you return, I might only kiss Grayson.”
“Ouch. You are a mean woman, Paris Mansfield.”
She pulled him into an embrace and kissed him. That was a mistake. Rider needed to think of Delancey, not making love with Paris.
Grayson tapped her on the shoulder. “Hey, what about me? I’m going into battle too. I’m not as good a fighter as Rider. I need more loving than he does.”
That was bullshit. From the looks of the guard Grayson had taken out yesterday, his friend hadn’t lost any of his skill. Nonetheless, Paris broke the kiss with him, rolled over and gave Grayson the same kind of attention.
Rider slipped out of bed and pulled on some new clothes that fit perfectly. Mrs. Armand was a wonder. “I’m going to grab some coffee.”
He didn’t wait for Grayson, but his friend made some grunting noise, and then stood.
To his surprise, Mrs. Armand was in the kitchen making breakfast. “Eggs and toast, okay?”
“You didn’t have to get up.”
“Nonsense. I like feeling useful.”
Rider pictured him and Grayson going off on a job some day and having Paris make them breakfast. Knowing her though, she’d find something to do that would help in a different way.
Grayson came in, sniffed, and let out a sigh. “I have a good feeling about today.”
“Let’s hope.”
CHAPTERTWENTY-SEVEN
“He hasn’t shown,I take it?” Rider asked Nate and Harmon.
Rider, Jay, and Grayson had just arrived at Statler's home to spell these two who'd been there for the last few hours.
