The water droplets beat down hard on her back, sending small shudders through her ribs. The cold water froze her skin, turning her into a solid block of ice. Ava stayed still, though.

She watched as her toes turned bright red from the cold. She could feel the hairs on her legs standing on end, ready to prickle her if she touched them. She could feel her back start to cramp and spasm from the cold. She refused to move, though. She had to wait until her pussy was no longer soaked and throbbing.

It took almost twenty minutes, but soon enough the pain of the freezing water took over. Her body calmed down enough for Ava to allow herself to escape back into the warmth. She wrapped a towel around her body and rushed into the bedroom. Heat surrounded her, warming her frozen skin.

As she searched for clean clothes, her fingers and toes started to burn as they warmed up. She fumbled with her clothes, constantly dropping the pieces of material and bending down to pick them up.

It took her almost ten minutes to get dressed, and by that point, her mind had already started to wonder again. Was Rollo with Zoey? Ava couldn’t call up her husband and ask him, he’d be furious. Their relationship was already strained due to her jealousy. She couldn’t risk making it worse.

The only way she could get an answer was to do some digging. Ava grabbed her laptop and dropped it on the end of the bed. Still in the towel, she spread out on the bed, propping herself up with her elbows with her feet on the pillows. She opened the laptop and waited for it to load.

What teenager doesn’t have some sort of online presence?Ava thought.Surely she must have something, some kind of social feed somewhere.

Ava began searching for Zoey. She started with her husband’s profile, scouring through his friends, looking for Zoey’s familiar face. It took Ava longer than she’d expected. It turned out that Rollo had many thousands of friends. Her fingers began to cramp as she searched and scrolled tirelessly.

Shocking, bright red hair screamed out of the screen. Ava immediately stopped scrolling and gazed at Zoey’s face for a moment. Her tanned skin was covered in makeup that looked almost orange in color. Her blue eyes were surrounded in heavy, black lines and thick, black mascara. Looking at this picture, Ava started to wonder why she was jealous at all. The girl couldn’t even put on her make-up properly.

Ava stifled a laugh as she clicked on Zoey’s profile. To her surprise, it was completely public. Clearly this girl had nothing to hide.

Make of that what you will,Ava thought, still smirking.

She scrolled through Zoey’s recent posts. It seemed that she liked to update all of her friends on almost every aspect of her life. What she had for dinner, where she was hanging out that evening, new clothes she’d just bought. There was no mention of Rollo anywhere, though.

Seems she has some smarts, at least, Ava thought.

There were a couple of posts from today. One of them was a picture of Zoey, wrapped up warm in a black trench coat and a burgundy scarf. She was sitting at a table, sharing coffee with a friend.

Why she feels the need to post this, I’ll never know,Ava thought.

Relief washed over her as she looked at the location tagged in the post. She was here, in the city. Zoeywasn’twith Rollo. Ava kept on looking through the feed. A photo, posted about thirty minutes earlier, showed that the girls were at the mall.

There was nothing else Ava could do—she had to go to the mall and watch Zoey, find out some more information about her.

It didn’t take Ava long to get changed. Instead of wearing her usual, flashy clothes, she chose to dress all in baggy black sweats. If she strutted through the mall wearing her beautiful dresses and sparkling jewelry, she’d stand out from the crowd.

Today she needed to blend in. She kept large shades over her eyes, disguising the majority of her face. There was no way Zoey would know it was her, at least from a distance. Ava felt secure in this knowledge as she drove herself to the mall. She parked up at the very back of the lot, as far away as possible.

Inside, it was boiling hot. The strong lights throbbed down onto the shiny, tiled floor. The shops all had music blasting, all of it mingling together in the walkways outside. Hundreds of chattering mouths talked all at once, filling the entire mall with the hubbub of overlapping voices.

The sheer noise of it made Ava wince. She wanted to reach up and cover her ears but she knew she couldn’t. If she brought attention to herself, she’d be found out.

It took her a while to find her way around the mall. Eventually, she stumbled across the cafe she’d seen Zoey sitting at, drinking her coffee innocently. Ava gazed around, searching for Zoey’s face. She had to be around here somewhere. Her heart started to beat erratically in her chest, thumping so loudly she could hear it in her ears. Zoey was here. Somewhere. She just needed to find her.

What then?Ava thought. What the hell am I doing here? Why am I stalking this girl?

Ava didn’t have much time to consider her options. She heard a gasp behind her, then the sound of paper bags dropping to the ground. She turned around slowly, meekly. Zoey was standing there, her black coat open at the front and her scarf seemingly missing. Bags were around her ankles, dropped in shock.

“What are you doing here?” Zoey snapped. “Are you following me?”

Ava opened her mouth to speak but nothing came out. How did Zoey recognize her? How did Zoey know what Ava was up to?

“Your husband warned me you might do this,” Zoey said, seething. “He warned me you would get all jealous while he was away.”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Ava said, hoping to disguise herself by pushing her voice lower than usual.

Zoey scoffed angrily and leaned forward to rip the shades off Ava’s face. Ava recoiled, but she wasn’t quick enough. The bright lights penetrated her closed eyelids, pushing right into her brain, making it sore.
