“I know.” I feel like shit for pushing this, but I don’t know how to stop.

I want to load her into my car and take her home where she belongs. I already spoke to my brothers and told them I was doing this. I wasn’t asking permission, I was simply stating facts. When I told Guilia, she laughed and said she couldn’t believe it took me this long.

“I don’t want you to regret us getting back together just because I’m pregnant,” Lira says softly. “You would come to resent me and our child.”

Squeezing her hand, I wait until she looks at me before speaking. “I want you. The baby is just a bonus. I was already at my breaking point, ready to admit that I had fucked up.”

Lira doesn’t reply, but she watches me closely, likely looking for any sign that I’m not being one hundred percent honest with her. I take a deep breath before telling her the truth.

“I hate my family’s home. I have never lived anywhere else and I loathe the idea of being there without you. Everywhere I turn, there are memories of you. I can’t have breakfast in the kitchen because we used to do that together, so I don’t have breakfast at all anymore. Family days are spent watching movies instead of swimming because I won’t go out to the pool. I want you. Back in my life, in my house. You’re a part of me, and I won’t be complete until you come back to me.”

Tears cling to her eyelashes.

“Damn, Lira,” the waitress whispers wiping a tear on her face. “Sorry to eavesdrop, but if you don’t give him a second chance, I will have Daddy ban you from the restaurant.” She places our food in front of us.

“Isabel,” Lira gasps. “You wouldn’t.”

“I will.” Isabel has her hands on her hips. “This man has bared his soul to you, not caring who hears. He deserves the chance to fix whatever he fucked up.”

The waitress turns on her heel and walks away without another word.

“Shit,” I say, running my hand through my hair. “I wasn’t planning on that. Sorry.”

Lira smiles. “Don’t worry. She won’t stay mad long, and I was going to say yes before she interrupted.”

“Lira,” I say, afraid to end the moment.

“Let’s finish dinner. Then we can head home.”

Epilogue

Lira

Three months later

My mind is foggy as I wake from my afternoon nap, but my body is a live wire. Pleasure courses through my body as my mind struggles to catch up. Opening my eyes, I see the reason my body woke near the peak of orgasm.

Severu has my legs spread wide, his face buried between my thighs. He isn’t supposed to be home until tomorrow, but I won’t complain about him being here early. Instead, I enjoy the feel of his stubble scratching my thighs, his tongue tracing circles on my clit.

“Sev,” I moan, twining my fingers in his hair.

Severu doubles his efforts now that he knows I’m awake. Licking, sucking, and nibbling at my most intimate spots. He traces my slit with a finger before inserting it into my heat. He pumps lightly, taking such care with me that it brings a tear to my eye.

I’m on the edge, but I need more. Tugging at his hair, I wait until he lifts his gaze to meet mine.

“More,” I beg.

Severus’s dark eyes scan my face before he descends again. He thrusts two fingers into my heat while sucking my clit deep into his mouth. He thrusts harshly, just the way I like it, and it sends me over the edge into screaming bliss.

It takes me a moment to regain my breath. Severu lies beside me, smiling. His large hand is beneath my t-shirt, caressing my ever-expanding belly.

“What happened to my tights?” I smile as I turn to fully face him.

“They’re on the floor somewhere.”

“And what, if I may ask, promoted this wake-up call?” I tease.

“Mmmm.” Severu leans in to kiss me before answering. “You were dreaming. Just like that first night. My name on your lips and your hand between your thighs.”
