I smiled and slid my hand in his, allowing him to lead me to the dance floor. A slow, sensual song was playing, a breeze wafting through the vineyards along with the Italian lyrics.

Juliana and Harrison swayed on the dance floor, their cheeks pressed together. Lauren and Hunter danced and laughed with Aiden. And Preston twirled Sophia, while Alexis watched on with a smile, Blair sleeping in her arms.

“Are you happy, uccellina?” he asked, holding me close.

“Very.” I leaned back to peer up at him. “Are you?”

He nodded, his expression solemn. “Apart from Aiden’s birth, today was the most important day of my life.”

“What about the Leatherbacks championship?” I asked, knowing how thrilled he’d been about the win. Not to mention another Ballon d’Or. I was still in awe of all his accomplishments, and yet he was proudest of us—his family.

He shook his head. “I would trade all my awards and all the highlights of my career for you and Aiden. The two of you are irreplaceable.” He tilted his forehead to mine. “Ti amo.”

I smiled as he kissed me and said, “Ti amo.”

As I peered out over the vineyard, surveying the land we’d purchased and the life we’d made, I realized I had everything I’d ever wanted and more. Friendship. Love. Family. Home.

There’d always be a part of me that craved adventure and travel, but I was no longer using it as an excuse to run from my feelings or myself. Aiden had taught me the power of unconditional love. And Enzo… Well, through his love, Enzo had taught me how to love myself.

That night, after everyone had left and we’d put Aiden to bed, we made love as husband and wife. And as I lay in his arms afterward, sated and happy, the soundtrack of my childhood and Enzo’s heartbeat lulled me to sleep. I was home.
