“Yeah,” he said, his voice rising. He jabbed his thumb into his chest. “Listen, sweetheart, there was no way in hell you were leaving The Hose with anyone but me. I want you, Taylor, and I’m not sharing.”

She frowned, reality inching its way into her brain. “But won’t you get bored, Christian? You know I’m not really like the wild, sexy women you normally gravitate towards. Last night, the shaving, the hot red dress, it was all just an act to get you into my bed.” She tugged on his covers. “Or rather, your bed.”

“The exhibitionism, was that an act too?”

She looked down sheepishly. “No.”

“I didn’t think so.” Christian rolled to his side and pushed his cock into her hip. “Does this seem like I’m bored to you, Taylor? One look at you and I’m as hard as granite.”

When she slipped her hand under the blankets and captured his cock, he groaned and gathered her in tighter. “What you’re missing, Taylor, is you are the kind of woman I gravitate toward. You’re the only woman I want.”

“But I saw the way you looked at all those hot babes down at The Hose. I’m not like those women.”

“They were only to help me keep my mind off you. Don’t you see, I’m crazy about you, Taylor. I want you. I’ve always wanted you. Today, tomorrow, forever. I was just too afraid of risking our friendship by making a move that I wasn’t sure you wanted.”

Excitement sang through her veins and her heart leapt with joy, hardly able to believe what she was hearing. Christian wanted her as much as she wanted him. Today, tomorrow and forever. She slipped her hand lower to capture his balls. After a gentle squeeze she said, in her best sultry voice, “I wanted.”

He chuckled and pulled her in tighter. “Yeah, I kind of got that.”

She melted against him, everything in her reaching out to him. “I want you, Christian. I have for a very long time now. And you don’t have to worry about me picking any guys up at The Hose. None of them were interested in me anyway.”

He grunted. “Trust me, sweetheart, every guy at The Hose wanted to be me last night. You see, I’m betting the guys have been going out of their way to avoid you because they already knew I’d marked you as mine.”

“Marked me as yours, huh?”

He slipped a finger into her moist heat. “Yeah, you’re mine.”

She moaned out loud. “So there is nothing wrong with my kissing, my breasts or my pussy then?” She didn’t bother to mask the mischief in her voice.

“Nothing at all.”

She crinkled her nose. “Do you think—”

“That we should check again?” he asked, finishing her sentence. “Yeah, baby, I do. I think that’s a damn good idea.” He quickly rolled on a condom, pulled her underneath him, sank his cock all the way up inside her. “It’s always good to cover all angles, don’t you think?”

Love Lessons

Grace Bennett, creator of the comic strip, Kate Can’t Date, crumpled up the sheet of paper in front of her and grumbled under her breath as she tossed it into her overflowing trashcan. As it fell out and rolled across the floor of her cubicle—or rather, the floor of her pod, sinc

e she considered herself and everyone else who worked behind those ugly orange wall partitions as pod people—she recalled the staff’s morning editorial meeting and how her boss, Audrey, had singled her out.

Next week’s comic strip has to be about falling in love. Your characters need to grow up, Grace. Instead of writing about funny things that happen on dates, I want you to write about endearing things that happen in love. Next week’s Valentine’s issue is the perfect time for Kate Can’t Date to take the next step into adulthood.

Valentine Schmalentine!
