“Dorian has to bring him for the trade, right?”

“Yes.”

“Then just be sure you outnumber Dorian.”

Prez rubbed his chin. Doing so was a sign that he was considering the women’s idea.

“You make it sound so simple. But who’s going to guard our families at the compound?” Dodge asked the question many of us were probably thinking.

“That would be me.” A voice came from the side entrance.

“Jesus Christ, Angel,” Storm growled. “The sheriff’s department can’t be involved.”

“Why not?”

I glanced down at Brynne. “You brought Sheriff Hendricks into this?”

“It was Eve’s idea. I certainly feel better with him backing us.”

“Shit.” I pressed a kiss on her head.

“Sheriff, you need to leave.” Storm looked furious. “Just turn around and pretend like you heard nothing and saw nothing.”

“Relax, son. I’m on your side.” He went to the center of the room.

Sugar followed her dad. “Matt wouldn’t hesitate involving my dad if it meant keeping me safe and rescuing an innocent boy. You all know he would do whatever it took.”

Heads nodded.

“I’m insulted no one had alerted me to Raymond’s disappearance.” Hendricks shook his head. “We’re family.”

“Yes, we are, Jim.” Angel smiled. “So let’s vote on it. All in favor of using Libby as bait to capture Dorian and rescue Raymond. Raise your hands.”

The majority of hands went in the air, including mine. Grizzly’s stayed down and Storm seemed to take a long second before he raised his.

Angel swiped the gavel and slammed it onto the table. “Done. Libby will be our live bait. Next. All in favor of letting Jim and his men guard the compound, raise those hands.”

Again, it was unanimous, except for Grizzly.

“Done!” Angel hit the gavel once more, then turned it over to a fuming Storm. “Thank you, Prez.”

He swatted her bottom, but admiration poured out of him.

“Hey.” I jerked my chin at Arctic. “Take the prez a bottle of whiskey.”

“Do you think he’s angry at Maddy?” Brynne asked. “I didn’t want any women to get into trouble.”

“Naw. Prez worships the ground his wife walks on.” I rubbed my hands against her ass. “Just like I worship you.”

“Same goes for me with you.” She kissed me passionately, despite the packed room of bikers and old ladies. “

“This plan will work,” Tina said beside us.

Brynne and I pulled apart to look at her mom.

“I hope so,” Brynne said.

“It will, honey. Because I will be with Libby to distract Dorian.”
