“I will not stop her. Wolf rules say that she is allowed vengeance is she not? Your alpha attacked unprovoked. He not only voided any contract, he is no longer breathing to defend your pack. Perhaps you are in denial?” I asked.

“What is the meaning of her touching you? She’s nothing. She’s useless. A freak. She can’t even shift, my father saw to that.”

I could no longer sit back and watch this bullshit unfold.

Before Nessa could breathe, I had my claws around her neck.

“You will not talk to the luna of the Black Creek Pack like that. In fact, you will not talk to your Luna ever again. Would you like to meet your father?”

She clawed at my hand around her neck. She tried to speak, tried to cry out.

“Please, let her go. She’s just in shock. You have to understand that.”

I looked at the male, the old beta. His fear mixed into the air.

“I can work with fear, male. Can you get her in line?”

He nodded.

Kiara, do you want her to die?

She hadn’t moved in far too long, but at my words she met my questioning gaze, her lips set tight as she walked up next to me. Nessa still struggling to breathe.

“Nessa, you deserve to die for how cruel you are, but I’m not you. Instead, you can live a life of rejection. I banish you from the pack,” Kiara said.

I dropped the female and stepped away, grabbing Kiara along the way.

“You can’t,” Nessa said on a cough. “You can’t do that.” She finally said. She stayed crumpled on the ground.

“You have until morning to leave our lands. You will not be welcome here or Cripple Creek, nor any of the council packs. There is space on the neutral lands, you have permission to cross to get there.”

In the dim light of the moon, the cloud cover rolling in, I could see the quiver of her lip.

Kiara fit perfectly as I pulled her into my side and buried my nose into her hair letting her scent calm the raging storm inside me. I just wanted to cull the bitch.

“Do not make me regret my decision.”

Colton came up next to me.

Our wolves on their land said there is a strange shift in activities.

“You, you’re the old beta. What would happen on your pack lands if your alpha were killed?”

He scoffed and stepped back.

“You’re the alpha, you figure it out. I’ll take my leave and prepare her for her transition.”

He nodded down at the mess of a female.

Kiara tugged at my arm.

“I think I know what they are doing. I need to get back there and rescue the girls.”

Letting her take my hand I studied her face.

“These are the others you spoke of? When you fell into my lap?”

I couldn’t read her body language. Her eyes flashed between her wolf and human.
