“But is she our sister?” Axle looked down the table at Rebel and raised a brow.

Rebel sighed and rolled his eyes. “I have something to raise at the table that needs to be handled before we make any decisions about the rest.”

“You have the floor,” Axle said with humor in his tone.

After shooting him the finger, Rebel announced, “She hasn’t accepted that she’s even my mate, yet, and I don’t know that she will, but just in case… I want to claim Ruby at the table as my Ol’ Lady.”

“Vote.” Axle’s one word was met with a chorus offuck you, of course she is, duh,and a few other shouted statements in the affirmative.

Rebel couldn’t stop the grin from forming on his face. “Thanks, my brothers.”

Axle’s hand came down on the table again. “Good thing I already ordered the patch. Well, now, that it’s official, what are we going to do about the library and the assholes fucking with us and our family?”

The rest of the meeting was about numbers and plans, along with a good amount of anger about what was said to his Ruby.

Once the meeting was done, Rebel left the twins at the clubhouse and headed over to the salon to talk to the women about what to get for Ruby. He wanted to make sure he had anything she would need to be comfortable at his place if she stayed overnight.

As he crossed the street, he noticed Ranger and Trip around Dragon’s bike, but there was no way he was getting in that mess. Whatever they were doing wasn’t going to sit well with his brother.

When he came out of the salon with more bags than he expected and a list of tea flavors to get at the grocery store, he was not at all surprised to see Bullet attempting to hold Dragon back from kicking the shit out of Trip and Ranger. He also wasn’t surprised that Dragon was directing most of his anger toward Trip. Crossing the street, he looked at Dragon’s bike and saw what was causing the problem. There was a sticker of some kind on the side of the tank of Dragon’s bike.

Reading the sticker when he got close enough, Rebel sighed and set his bags down by his bike. He sent a quick text to Pike, since Pike was the sergeant at arms. Part of his duties was club security. The situation seemed to call for it.

“I will fucking kill you,” Dragon growled, his eyes flashing green light in Trip’s direction, signifying how fucking pissed Dragon was.

“It’s a cling!” Ranger shouted.

Dragon’s glare shifted to Ranger. “And you think that makes itbetter?”

Ranger shrugged and started backing away.

Trip kept a few bikes between him and Dragon, because while he was an idiot, he wasn’tthat muchof an idiot.

“No harm, no foul,” Ranger insisted.

“It’s a joke, Dragon,” Bullet said, calmly.

“You don’t touch a man’s bike,” Dragon argued. He looked at Trip again. “I will break your fucking fingers.”

The gleam in Trip’s eyes let Rebel know Trip was about to say something to make the situation worse. In an attempt to prevent it, Rebel headed his way.

“That’s fine. I don’t need my fingers to fuc—“

Rebel covered Trip’s mouth and dragged him away as Dragon let out an angered growl and shoved Bullet aside.

“Do you have a motherfucking death wish?” Rebel shoved Trip back and stood between him and Dragon, Ranger and Brute joining him.

Pixie

After parking her car on the curb in front of Rebel’s house, Pixie grumbled to herself about Sugar’s insistence that she apologize to Ruby for spying on her and Rebel. Pixie thought Ruby wasn’t upset in the least, but Sugar had been relentless. So, Pixie caved.

Pike thought it was hilarious that Sugar was making her apologize. He was lucky she hadn’t left the compound before he could get in the car. He knew she was going to go and asked her to wait for him to finish church. Now, she was wishing she’d left when he was busy with his brothers.

Pixie crossed the front yard and up the front steps, with Pike on her heels. She knocked on the front door and crossed her arms over her chest.

Pike stopped behind her and put his hands to her hips as he lowered his head to her ear and whispered, “Relax. It’s just a courtesy.”

Pixie scoffed, hiding the effect his voice in her ear had on her body. “I doubt Ruby was even offended.”
