She wished she could just enjoy it, but a phone was ringing, she thought it was hers, and her bladder was screaming. Running her fingers through his hair, she softly said his name.

“No,” he mumbled into her breasts. “No wake up.”

“I gotta pee. And I’m pretty sure that was my phone ringing.”

Looking down her body at his face, she saw when he opened his mouth and sucked the skin of the side of her breast in.

“Rebel,” she breathed and laughed.

“Don’t want to let you go.”

“I have to go to the bathroom and answer my phone, but I promise I’ll come back.”

He huffed out a sigh and slowly rolled off of her. “Fine. Hurry.”

After climbing off the bed, she headed to the bathroom. As she passed the bed, she glanced over at him, taking in the fucking beautiful visual he presented. His hair was loose and messy on his pillow. Laying on his back, he had the blanket pulled up only so far to cover his privates, leaving his sexy abdomen, chest, and arms on display.A work of art.

Smiling, because he was hers, she entered the bathroom and took care of business. Then she washed her hands and brushed her teeth. As she made her way back through the bedroom, she snatched one of his shirts from the floor and slipped it on.

“Fuck,” he groaned. “I like you wearing my clothes.”

Giggling, she shook her ass at him a little as she left his room to go find her phone. It didn’t take her long because it started ringing again.

Snatching it up from the top of the island, she pressedanswerand put it to her ear. “Hello?”

“Bri, I need you to come to the library right away.”

It was Debbie, her boss.

“Um… okay. Is everything okay?”

There was a deep sigh. “No. Someone vandalized the building. The police want to speak with you. They went by your home, but you weren’t there. I told them I would contact you.”

Vandalized?“Oh, wow. Um… Yeah, I’ll be right there. Give me fifteen.”

“See you soon.”

Ruby ended the call and let out a deep sigh.Who in the world would vandalize a library?Sure, Sharon White was angry, but Ruby couldn’t see the older woman vandalizing a building. Throwing a fit? Protesting? Sure. Absolutely. But vandalizing? No.

Setting her phone back down, she returned to the bedroom to get dressed, her mind still on the phone call.

“There’s my Ruby,” Rebel sleepily said as he watched her move around the room. “Get back in bed.”

“I can’t,” she mumbled and gathered her clothes from the floor. She piled them on the bed and began pulling on her panties. Then she pulled off his shirt and grabbed her bra.

Rebel sat up. “Why? What’s going on?”

“I have to head to the library.” She fastened her bra and adjusted the straps. Grabbing her shirt, she put it on and started fastening the buttons.

As he slid off the bed and onto his feet, Rebel asked, “What’s going on? They need you to fill in or something?”

She shook her head and pulled on her jeans. “Someone vandalized the building, and the police want to speak to me.”

“What?” Rebel snapped into action and started getting dressed. “Vandalized, how?”

She shook her head again. “I don’t know, but I’ll call you when I know more.”

“I’m going with you,” he said as he fastened his jeans.
