“They are sleeping inside,” Dani said. “Along with Payton’s daughter, Emma.”

“Riley is down too,” Marissa said. “Most of the babies are. The older ones are running everywhere, but Tommy, Sebastian, and Walker’s daughter, Kaylee, are watching them.”

She turned her head to see a bunch of young kids on the other end of the yard running and playing games, chasing each other and laughing.

It surprised her how much she was looking forward to this in her life in the future.

Jade came over and stood next to her and Jonah. “I can’t even tell you to run anymore,” Jade said. “You’ve already fallen for it.”

She laughed and glanced down when she noticed Jade’s belly shifting. “Is the baby moving?”

“She is,” Jade said, taking her hand and putting it there. “She wants out just like Adriana said her son wants out.”

“You both got lucky to only have singles.”

“We did,” Jade said. “Here come your parents, Jonah.”

He turned to look at Jami and John arriving and Carolyn, Diane, Grant and Garrett running to them at once.

“What’s going on there?” she asked Jonah.

He shrugged. “No clue.”

Megan narrowed her eyes at him. “Jonah.”

He laughed. “Fine. You want me to do it right now?”

“Do what?” she asked.

She didn’t have much of a chance before he got on one knee in front of her. There was a lot of laughter and looks. She noticed all the parents running over faster and Diane mumbling she was too old to move that fast.

“Megan. It took me a while to figure out how to do this. Or when and where. I got thinking, the best way to prove my love to you is to do it in front of the people who had to help you move along to pursue me.”

She started to laugh, the tears in her eyes. “I didn’t need help.”

“Yes, you did,” Grant said.

“I second that,” Garrett said.

So much for her bosses not throwing her under the bus. “Maybe just a little,” she said.

“Will you marry me? If you say no in front of all these people I’m going to look like a fool.”

“And we know you don’t like looking like a fool,” she said, grabbing his hand and pulling him up. “Yes, I’ll marry you.”

He slid the ring on her finger and then picked her up and planted a kiss on her lips.

“Two down and one to go,” Jami said.

“Good thing Trent isn’t here to hear that,” Jonah said.

“Where is your brother?” Megan asked.

“Out of town. But he knew what was happening. So did everyone else but you.”

“What?” she shrieked. “You knew, Raina?”

“I did. He told us the other day.”
