“Trent doesn’t seem to mind,” he said. He had to make sure he spread his inquiries around.
“He wears a suit all the time for work. Not Jonah. I’m not sure he owns one. Not a full suit. I suppose it makes sense in his job anyway.”
“Those brothers of yours,” he said. “Your mother would like to see them settled down next.”
“I saw her talking to you and Grant, your wives too. Let me guess, she wants you to help set them up?”
This was going much better than he thought it might. “Would you be upset if we did?”
“Why would I care?” she said.
He shrugged. “Didn’t know if you had thoughts for your brothers since you guessed your mother talked to us.”
Raina laughed. “My brothers know their minds. If they want to be set up, they’ll fall for it. If not, oh well. If the person is right, they’ll fall anyway, regardless of how it happens.”
“That’s the right attitude to have. You’d love anyone your brothers loved, right?”
Raina angled her head. “Do you have someone in mind?”
“You don’t think I’m going to tell you that, do you?”
“Most likely not, but it's probably someone I know or you wouldn’t be coming to me. If my brothers are happy, I don’t care about anything else. I mean we know you guys do good work.”
“That a girl,” he said, walking away and feeling much better.

On Our Terms
“I’ll see you next week,” Jonah said to Roy. “Same time?”
“Always,” Roy said. He was young and eager to learn all he could. The kid had potential, but he didn’t have patience. That would be his downfall. “Just block me in at this time for the next several weeks. Do you think I should do it two nights a week?”
“I think what you are doing is fine. You’re following the schedule I set up. You shouldn’t overdo it. If you get hurt, you get a setback.”
“I want to get in the ring,” Roy said.
“In a few weeks we’ll set that up with someone your size and class. I’m still talking to a few people.”
He had a list of guys who enjoyed it, but he needed someone that wasn’t cocky to go against Roy. The kid knew what he wanted, but he hadn’t fought anyone yet. Roy had a background in martial arts like Jonah did, so that much was good, but he needed to get stronger. He needed to learn to be on the defense, not always on the offense and that was all Jonah had been showing him.
“I can’t wait,” Roy said. “I’m going to go lift now. I’ll talk to you later.”
Roy jumped out of the ring, Jonah following, and when his feet hit the ground, he turned to see Megan standing in the open double doors. Lots of members did that; they watched or checked out what was going on back here.
“Hello there,” he said, moving toward her. He’d like to lean in and kiss her, but she had a smirk on her face so he was going to let it go for now.
“Don’t you look all hot and sexy jumping down from the ring. I could just imagine you doing that after a fight.”
“I’d be hot but not that sexy,” he said, laughing. He’d be covered in bruises, welts and blood most likely. Not to mention his body would be killing him. “I wouldn’t smell so great either.”
She moved a little closer to him. Not many were paying attention to them. “You smell pretty good to me right now.”
“So do you,” he said. “I’m going to assume you just got here?” She didn’t appear to be sweating and he’d seen her working out a few times to know she gave it her all.
He’d bet she’d be that way in the bedroom too and he was looking forward to that.
“I did. The treadmills are all taken. I had to put my name on a list and wait. I didn’t want to go home first and came straight from work. Guess this isn’t the best time.”
