His breathing was as heavy as hers and though it might be nice if he wasn’t squishing her, there was part of her that didn’t want him to move.

Something told her Jonah Davenport rarely lost control and he just did.

Have My Moments

Jonah lifted himself off of Megan where he knew his weight was too heavy.

As much as he wanted to stay there, he had to take care of the condom first.

“Sorry if I was too rough.”

She stretched her arms above her head and almost purred like a kitten. “Do I look like I thought you were too rough?”

He smiled. “No.”

“Bathroom down the hall, door on the left. The one on the right will bring you to the closet. Though I think we could have some fun in a closed closet too.”

He shook his head and moved away from her, feeling her eyes on his bare ass. He supposed a guy couldn’t ask for much more than that.

Her bathroom wasn’t that big and if he stretched his arms out he might touch the walls, but it was enough room to clean up and take care of what he needed to.

When he returned to the living room, Megan had her clothes back on and his were folded on the chair. He was in the bathroom longer than he thought if she had time to do that.

But after he’d cleaned up, he’d run water over his face and looked in the mirror. He wanted to see if he looked as gutted as he felt. What he saw was nothing different. That was good. He wasn’t one for showing his cards unless he wanted people to see them.

“If it’s the same size as your bathroom, we might have an issue,” he said.

“I know,” she said. “This place is small.”

He was pulling his jeans and underwear up, but left them open while he grabbed his shirt and pulled that over his head.

“Small for me, but suits you,” he said.

“It’s small for anyone. I wanted my own place and it was cheaper to get this one. I could have gotten one bigger, but then I’d need a roommate. To me it was a good trade off. I wanted the independence but still have the ability to put money away.”

“I know that feeling,” he said. “I was lucky my parents had that apartment above the garage.”

“I heard that you all lived there at some point.”

“It was nice to be able to put the money away. I didn’t put away as much as I should have but not bad either,” he said.

He was too busy going out and having a good time back then to worry about how much money was going into his savings account.

Thinking back, he might have been in a better position had he thought more about it. Thankfully the gym had started turning a profit early on and he’d been able to take the same salary as he had at the jail. In the past few years though things had been exploding and business was nuts and he was pulling in more money than he thought he’d ever make.

“I think we all love having that freedom to just do what we want,” she said. “I did the same thing, but I’ve been pretty responsible with money.”

“Comes with the job and all, huh?”

“I guess,” she said. “I have my moments.”

“Don’t we all?” he asked.

She sat down and patted the couch next to her. “That was nice,” she said.

“Only nice?” he asked. “You were making enough noise for your neighbors to think we were filming in here.”
