CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO

Hawk

Jude wasn’t in the suite when Hawk woke up to the sun illuminating the bed from the open balcony doors. He scratched at the flaky remnants of cum stuck in his chest hair.Jude’s cum.Remembering the look on Jude’s face as Hawk had gotten him off, his morning wood throbbed. Closing his eyes, he thought about Jude’s ankles on his shoulders and his cock sliding through Jude’s ass crack while he tugged out the fastest orgasm he’d ever had, adding his own cum to what had dried on his chest from the night before.

Then he got up and showered it all off.

He found Jude downstairs. A bolt of jealousy shot through him at the sight of Jude sitting on the couch with Prescott, their heads bent close together, and he had to take a deep breath and let it out before continuing down the steps.

“Jude, I just got a call. I need to get back to the city. Can you be ready in an hour?” He’d admit the lie to Jude after they got out of there. Hawk couldn’t stand being around Prescott another day.

“Sure,” Jude said, standing.

“If you want to stay, you can ride back with me and Lizzy,” Prescott said just as Eliza walked into the room. Prescott looked at her. “Right, babe? You don’t mind if we give Jude a ride home.”

“Of course not,” Eliza said. Hawk was pretty sure she did mind.

“That’s okay,” Jude said. “I have things I really need to do at home.”

Thank God, because no way was Hawk going to let him stay there without him.

“I’ll just go pack really quickly. Have some breakfast, Hawk. I’ve already eaten.” Jude jogged up the stairs.

“Too bad work’s calling you away. All work and no play makes Hawk a dull boy,” Prescott said.

“I’ve gotten plenty of recreation, don’t worry.” Hawk fervently hoped the bastard had heard the noises coming from their room the night before.

Wandering into the dining room, he poured himself a cup of coffee before wandering out onto the terrace. The day was sunny and bright with birds chirping loudly in the trees. Hawk sat on the edge of the water fountain, enjoying the warmth of the sun on his face as he drank his coffee.

Jude poked his head out the door a few minutes later. “One of the servants is taking our bag to the car. I packed the rest of your stuff.”

“I hope you aren’t too disappointed we’re leaving a little early.”

Jude gave Hawk a look that didn’t leave any doubt that Hawk had lied about having to leave. “Nah. I want to get back. I have to be at Utopia early tomorrow morning.”

Hawk stood stiffly while Sam hugged Jude goodbye and told him he’d be in touch soon and didn’t fully relax until they drove out of the Hamptons, headed toward the city.

“I think Eliza was glad to see us go,” Jude said over the song playing on the radio.

“That’s because Prescott was so obviously drooling over you.”

“Oh, stop. He was not. He didn’t make any move to get me back once he realized I was serious about our breakup.”

“Well, he certainly enjoyed taunting me about how you’re ascreamer,” Hawk said dryly.

“What?” Jude’s face flushed, and Hawk gave himself a mental kick. He’d forgotten he wasn’t going to tell Jude about that. “He was just being a dick.”

“I guess I am a little loud in bed,” Jude admitted, frowning.

“You’re a lotta loud, and I love it,” Hawk said. He didn’t want Jude to feel self-conscious about something so sexy. He hadn’t had many lovers who could let go the way Jude could, forgetting everything except his pleasure. Memories of Jude calling his name while being plowed were some of his spank bank favorites.

Jude didn’t reply, and after a few minutes, Hawk realized he’d fallen asleep.

Due to weekend traffic, a trip that should have taken a little under two hours stretched past three, and by the time Hawk parked the car near their building, it was way past lunchtime, and his stomach was growling loudly. He hadn’t had breakfast.

Gently, he shook Jude awake.

“We’re home,” he said, the soft words reminding him that they weren’t reallyhome. They didn’t live together, and they weren’t going to be doing this for much longer. While Hawk planned to ask Slade if he could continue to try to dig up things on Prescott, he doubted the request would be granted. Jude was out of danger, and that’s what Hawk had been sent there for. Nothing had come of his search in the Hamptons, and gaining admittance to Prescott’s Manhattan residence when Sam hated his guts was doubtful.
