"So," Ice drawled, "what are you studying?" He stood at my shoulder, his breath brushing my neck.
"Computer science," I said without looking away from the screen. I was trying to play it cool, but I hadn't read a word since he entered the kitchen. After what Mannix said about him and Ares wanting me, I was hyper-aware around all three of them. More so than before.
"I'm sure that sounds super geeky." It was a great way of scaring guys off. Too many of them couldn't deal with a smart woman. I couldn't deal with a guy who was threatened by someone with brains.
"I think it sounds super cool." He put his hands on my shoulders and lightly started to massage the knots.
"I was going to ask what you studied but I'm guessing it's massage therapy." I dropped my head forward and let him work, while keeping half an ear out for Mannix and Ares.
Mannix had said something about a problem with one of the cars. Ares went to help him, leaving Ice and I alone. I presumed they were letting the mechanic onto the property, because I doubted these rich boys knew much about engines.
But if Mannix was going to get pissed off about Ice touching me…
Ice chuckled.
My heart skipped a beat and started racing. It was just a laugh, I told myself. Why did it get to me so much?
"No, I studied forensic pathology. I'm fascinated about how one part of the human anatomy is attached to another. Like this—" He squeezed my shoulder lightly. "Is attached to this." He traced circles around the top of my chest with the pad of his thumb, brushed across the top of my breast.
"And this—" He slid a finger down my arm and traced circles around the crook of my elbow. "This innocent little crook is an erogenous zone."
It certainly was. I was going to go wild if he kept doing that.
I shivered.
"The whole body is full of interesting muscles and nerve endings," he continued. "A touch here can elicit a reaction there." The heel of his hand slid over my collarbone. My nipples immediately pebbled in response. He moved his hand up and down, slow and light.
"Is that making you wet, Beautiful?"
Without waiting for an answer he moved his hand over to my other collarbone.
I swallowed hard. His touch was like pure electricity on my skin.
"The funny thing is, the body can react without physical stimuli. Sometimes all it takes is words."
He braced himself on the kitchen island, one hand on either side of me, almost but not quite touching me. He whispered in my ear.
"I want to tear off all your clothes, sit you up on the bench top and bury my face between your legs. Then, when you're as wet as hell, I want to impale you on my cock, all the way to my balls. I want to feel your wet heat around me, muscles convulsing. I want to feel the friction as I fuck you slowly, then quickly. I want to feel my balls burst as I come inside you, filling you all the way up."
He breathed hard out his nose. "Did that make you even wetter? It made me hard as fuck."
He adjusted his pants as he stepped away from me. "They say the brain is the sexiest organ in the human body. I think it's incredible because I can arouse you—and myself—but I can also scare you with words."
"I'm sure you could." I knew all too well how terrifying words could be. And he was right, I was wet from both his voice and imagining him doing those things to me.
"What are you doing?"
My eyes snapped up, toward the door.
How long had Mannix been standing there? Ares was right behind him. They both looked pissed.
"Keeping Kennedy company," Ice said lightly. "I think we need to talk, the four of us. There's something very much in the air that needs to be cleared." If he noticed the glares they both gave him, he showed no sign. He wasn’t intimidated by them one bit.
That made one of us.
Mannix stepped up behind me and placed his hands on my shoulders. A gesture of pure possessiveness. Could he see the blush on my cheeks? Surely he must have noticed my reaction to Ice's words and touch? The touch was innocent. Ish. The words? Definitely not.
"What the fuck are you talking about?" Ares demanded.
