The time is a good compromise, I suppose, but I’ll definitely be picking her up. It’s not like I don’t know where she lives. It’s just up the road from here. To be honest, it’s taken everything in me to not just show up there over the past few months. But I figured it best to avoid looking like a creepy stalker.

Looking forward to it, Peach.

“I’ll be damned,” Krista says as I set my phone down. “There really is a woman. And you are clearly hooked.”

I reluctantly meet her stare, trying and failing to wipe the smile from my face. “Why are you still in here? Don’t you have some prep work to do or something?”

“Nope,” she answers, popping theP. “And I’m not going to let you avoid this. I want the deets, old man. Ideservethem.”

“You deserve a good kick in the ass.”

“Tell me who she is and how you met. Or... I’ll tell all my customers that you’ve met someone special, and you’ll get to deal with them bugging the shit out of you all night instead.”

“You’re a wicked, soulless creature. Has anyone ever told you that?”

“Only after I’ve shown them a good time,” she quips.

“All right... you remember that date I told you about last spring? The first one after Molly?”

“The one with the super-hot, younger woman who was pissed you didn’t deliver the goods?”

I nod, running a hand through my hair. “That’s the one.”

She chuckles. “Oh, yeah, I remember.”

I’ve reluctantly shared the details of all my dates with Krista, no matter how painful, awkward, or embarrassing. Partly because she has a way of getting me to talk. But it’s not like I have anyone else to talk to about this shit. And I had been out of the dating game for a long time.

“Well, I ran into her today and asked her out again.”

She quirks an eyebrow, her lips pursing. “And she said yes?”

“Yep. We’re going out this Saturday.”

“Okay... don’t kill me for asking this. But are you sure you’rereadyfor her this time? You going to give her a ride on your joystick? Maybe let her slob that knob a little?”

Images of Parker’s lips wrapped around my cock fill my thoughts, heating my blood. I want her so badly it hurts. Like literally fucking hurts. My dick hasn’t been this tender with need in a long time. But there’s only one way I’m letting that happen. And I’m pretty sure I’ll be waiting a bit longer for that.

“All right.” I stand up and walk over to her, pulling her to her feet. “We’re done here. Get the fuck out.”

She laughs as I shove her out the door. “Don’t get your panties in a bunch, Grandpa. It’s perfectly healthy and normal to discuss your sex life with your friends.” She huffs as I slam the door in her face, hollering through the door, “Hopefully, she’ll help you work out some of that tension! You need to loosen up!”

Parker

Adrenaline pumpsthrough my veins as I grab my clutch and dab a touch of gloss to my lips, checking my reflection in the hall mirror one more time before leaving. I look hot as fuck. Elias isn’t going to know what hit him. There’s no way he’ll be able to resist me tonight. Then this game of his will be over before it’s even begun.

The soft leather of my leggings rubs gently against my skin as I step onto the elevator. These things cost me an arm and leg, so they’re typically reserved for special occasions. But I’m pulling out all the stops tonight. The smooth white top I paired with them ties in the front, the sleeves wrapping around my upper arms and leaving my chest, neck, and shoulders completely bare.

One way or another, I’m getting fucked tonight. I’ll do whatever it takes to make it happen.

The lobby is empty when the elevator makes its final stop, the clacking of mycome fuck meheels echoing off the walls as I check the time once more.

Normally, I’d be showing up a few minutes early. I abhor being late for anything, but it’ll do Elias some good to sit there and wait for a while, wondering if I bailed on him. The teasing bastard shot down my proposed date for this rendezvous, so he damn well deserves waiting ten minutes for me.

My heart skips as I step outside and see Elias waiting for me on the sidewalk, that stupidly handsome smile on his face. Fucking hell, I should’ve known the bastard would show up here. The man refuses to listen to a damn thing I say. I let my gaze fall to the stairs and put my game face back on, slowly making my way down.

“Damn, Peach. Are you trying to stop my heart?”

His deep voice causes a vibration on my skin as I lift my eyes, a relaxed smile painted on my lips. I lean in, greeting him with a kiss on the side of his mouth. “Right on time, as expected.”
