"Damn ... Shantae."

Camron's body jerked behind her and his cock twitched inside her.

She marveled at the way his body engulfed her when they were both sated.

"I've never come so fucking hard as I do with you." His warm breath tickled her neck.

His honesty made her chuckle. She liked that he wasn't afraid to speak his mind with her because she knew it meant she was special. Not everyone in his life was afforded the same luxury.

"I don't want to leave your warm body, but I'm afraid I'm going to crush you."

He slid out of her, but made sure to take her with him so that she was snuggled into him as a little spoon.

"We're making a mess of our bed."

They had both come so hard that they left a large wet spot right where she would normally sleep. Her knee was currently touching it, but she was too tired to move. Camron didn't have the same problem; he moved them both back in one fluid motion.

"We'll worry about it later. Right now, I just want to hold you."

She wouldn't complain.

"Can I ask you something?" Camron's fingertips traced along her arm.

"Anything."

She wasn't sure what he wanted, but she was so satisfied that she would tell him anything he wanted to know.

"Would you consider giving this marriage a real shot? I know the reason why we did it, but I feel things have changed and I want to try for real."

Her heart pounded in her chest. It wasn't a confession of love, but it was a start. She could work with that. Given enough time, she was sure that he would love her one day.

"It was always real to me," she confessed.

Camron slowly rolled her over and gave her the biggest smile she had ever seen as he slipped inside her again.

"You make me so damn happy."

Chapter 25

"Matthew,"shecalledthelittle boy's name for the tenth time, "get down from there before you fall and, Andrew, please stop helping Matthew climb the blocks. One of these times the two of you are going to get hurt."

"We never get hurt Mrs. S," Matthew insisted. "We strong."

It was the same answer every time. Both boys insisted that nothing could hurt them. Not that she would ever wish harm to a child, but she really hoped that just once they would fall on their bottom so they could see they weren't invincible. But then she would have to tell their parents how they got hurt, and that wasn't exactly her idea of a fun time. So the fleeting thought was quickly replaced by guilt.

"I know you boys are strong, but let's not tempt fate. Mr. Ray is coming in soon to help me with some work, so do you think you could be on your best behavior?"

"Yes, Mrs. S." They both eagerly nodded.

She thought it was cute that they both couldn't pronounce her name without giving her a funny face, so instead, they shortened it to S. It was like a little bond just between them.

"Knock, knock."

Ray popped his head through the doorway and smiled. A laptop in one hand and a bag of donuts in the other.

"Mr. Ray brought snacks!"

Both boys jumped up and down behind the gate that separated the play area from the small desk she had in the corner of the one room. That one gate had saved her a million times. She was positive without it; the boys would run out of the room every chance they got. Thankfully, whatever the gate was made of was still resilient to their antics. Whoever designed it needed a pay raise.
