“Reed kissed me?” he said, though it sounded more like a question, like he wasn’t sure anymore. Fletcher’s eyes jumped to Reed and then me, before he burst out laughing.

“Well, you said you wanted to be on the team. Welcome aboard.”

“What?” Dax asked, now confused as his brows creased.

“They’re hazing you, babe,” I said, finally understanding. Dax felt left out at times since he wasn’t a hockey player. This was their way of making him feel like he was part of the team.

“I’m just sad I missed it,” Fletcher teased. “Though,” he scrutinized my face, “I think Henley wanted it to be real. Sorry, Baby Shaw, we’re strictly a bro harem. We save all our kisses for you.”

“I’m good with that,” I said, smiling at him. My body heated, and I glanced at the time, wishing there was more. “Who’s all riding with me?” I asked as I stood, taking my plate to the sink and rinsing it.

“I’ll drive separately since I need to meet the lawyer later,” Dax said, walking over to me. His arms wrapped around me, pulling me to his chest. His palms ran up and down my back as his eyes bored into mine. “Be good, Petal. Or I’ll have to schedule some alone time in the gym,” he whispered.

His lips dropped to mine, giving me a kiss I wanted to savor. Dax’s tongue swirled with mine in a slow passion; his body pressed into me as he held me close. Breathless, I pulled away, my heart racing from that simple act. Dax winked before picking up his keys and bag.

I turned, thankful the camera crew hadn’t been on me. They were already packing up to head to school with us. Reed gave me a heated look, and I wondered if we had time to make out in the car before we’d be caught. As if he could read my mind, he grabbed my bag and keys, took my hand, and led me to the car. Pressed up against my SUV, Reed kissed me to rival Dax’s, hitting me all the way to my toes as love and lust rolled through me.

I was two seconds away from wrapping my legs around him when Fletcher walked out, moaning as he caught us.

“Fuck, Baby Shaw. I can’t start practice with a hard-on.”

Reed drew back, a satisfied smirk on his face, his blue eyes practically molten. He opened my door for me before he slid into the backseat, his quiet demeanor even more seductive when he did things like that. I fanned myself again as Fletcher adjusted himself, walking to the passenger door.

“How many more days do we have of the film crew?” he asked, even though he knew. His voice was pained, mirroring my own thoughts.

“Two.” I grimaced, not liking it any more than he did. “They’ll be finished after the game.”

“Fuck. Okay. We’ll either need to instill a no kissing Henley policy while they’re in the house or escape to our secret room at lunch so I can fuck you senseless.”

“Secret room?” Reed asked, poking his head up from the back.

“It doesn’t matter,” I said, not giving away the location. That was Fletcher’s secret to share. “I have lunch with Macy today.”

“Cancel,” Fletcher groaned.

“Can’t. She has information on that woman from the game and people from HTC. You should probably be there, too. And someone should join Dax with the lawyer, so he’s not alone. We made a promise to one another.”

“I’ll go with Goldie,” Reed said, sighing as he rubbed his head. “Fletcher should hear what Macy says, since some of it’s about his company.”

“I knew you liked me,” Fletcher said, chuckling.

“Yeah, yeah,” Reed grunted, smiling.

“Thanks, Reed. I’ll reward you tonight,” I promised, winking at him in the rearview mirror a few seconds before I pulled into the lot. Despite the threat being over from Gareth, the school had maintained a few of the security guards. I waved at Asa as I parked.

“Why does he get the reward?” Fletcher asked as he opened the door, frowning.

“He’s taking one for the team,” I said, grinning.

“Yeah, Daddy Fletch,” Reed teased, smacking Fletcher on the back. “I’ll be nice and let you watch.”

“Like you could stop me if you wanted to,” he scoffed, hitting Reed back. They tussled together as we neared the doors.

“Sometimes it’s just too much testosterone,” I mumbled as I headed inside, scanning my badge. Scar raced out of the side doors, almost barreling into me.

“There you are!” she shouted. I winced, covering my ears.

“What’s up?” I asked her; the guys were quiet now behind me. As much as they joked, they didn’t once we were in the barn, knowing they needed to be a united front.
