“You might be surprised, Sis. The LiveIt streams have been popular. Our account has already hit 10K subscribers.”

“Whoa. That’s awesome. I’m glad you’re having fun doing that. I still can’t believe you roped in Reed and Dax.” I giggled, the laughter feeling good after the past twenty-four hours.

“Don’t worry. I have plans for you and Fletch, too. See ya later.”

Reese hugged me and walked with Braden toward his dad’s car. Sean waved at me as he helped them load their gear, and I smiled back. When Cameron came over and spoke with Braden and Reese, I wondered what that was about. Then he climbed in the backseat after depositing his bag in the trunk, answering my question. I smiled, wondering if Reese had a couple of suitors or if it was just a friend thing.

“That’s everyone,” Fletcher said, coming up behind me. “You ready?”

I nodded, taking his hand and letting him lead me to our car. Dax and Reed had already loaded our bags and were waiting in the car for us. They were talking in low tones when I climbed into the backseat, making me curious.

“What’s up?” I asked.

“We’re arguing over the plans for tonight,” Dax said, glancing back at me from the driver’s seat. I lifted my eyebrows at that. I hadn’t thought past returning to Lux.

“We have plans?”

Fletcher chuckled as he hooked my seatbelt I’d forgotten about.

“I know it’s hard to believe since most of our time revolves around training and coaching, but we thought it might be fun to do something, Baby Shaw.”

“Okay.”

I smiled, some excitement bubbling in me at the thought of plans. It had been nonstop with obligations since we’d arrived, and our relationship had progressed fast with us all living together. We didn’t have time for dates or any typical dating stuff.

“What are the options?” I asked as Dax pulled out of the airport parking lot.

“Option one is to stay in Salt Lake, eat our weight in sushi, and go swimming,” Dax said, meeting my eyes.

“And option two?” That did sound fun, but I didn’t know if I wanted to be away from Oak Crest another night.

“There’s a Halloween party at Lux for the staff.”

I blinked. Halloween. Shit. Was it really that time? I’d been in such a constant state of coming and going, and not always the fun kind, that I’d lost track of the dates as the days flew past.

“Halloween isn’t until next week, but this is the weekend before,” Fletcher supplied for me. I must’ve looked hella confused.

“I don’t know if I have anything to wear, but that sounds fun. It might be nice to meet some of the other instructors. Once I bounced from my nightmare house, everyone else ceased to exist.”

“To be fair, you spend all of your time in the arena, and you’ve met everyone who frequents there,” Dax said, helping me feel better.

“What do you think, Reed?”

“I don’t particularly like parties, but I prefer it over being away from campus. Lady Sterling will be lonely.”

I smiled at his concern for his cat. I searched my bag for my phone, deciding to call in the reinforcements.

“I’m assuming it’s open for all staff?” I asked before I sent the messages.

“Yep. You inviting the girls?” Fletcher asked, and I nodded.

Henley

We’re headed back. I heard there’s a Halloween party tonight. You guys game?

It didn’t take long for their responses to come in, and it was no surprise Scarlet was the first one.
