“Hi, DC. I was just calling to tell you that they delivered the furniture and we've put it in the garage, like you told us.”

“Thanks, you solved a huge problem for me.”

“Don’t mention it, man. So … how's Charlie's dad doing?”

“Better. He'll be home in a few days and we're heading back to Armstrong.”

“Well, that's great news. Can you ask Charlie if she’ll organize the Valentine's Day party again this year?”

I raise an eyebrow, looking at Dylan. “Of course. I've been working on it for a year and it will be fantastic!” I answered, a little worried by his question. I mean, I've hosted the Valentine's party since the Paradise opened, never skipped.

“Fantastic, I knew I could rely on you! See you later then!” Aiden says.

"Rely on you? What’s he up to?"

"Blaire…"

"Ohhhh, that's so romantic."

"I'll do my best to make his proposal unforgettable."

"You're the best, baby. Am I invited, too?" Dylan asks and I roll my eyes.

"Do I have to answer that?"

"I wanted to make sure you didn't have second thoughts."

"Second thoughts? About what?"

"About us, baby." I know he’s joking, even though he’s trying to sound serious. Since we’re stopped at a traffic light, I pinch him.

"Ouch, that hurts!"

"Then stop talking nonsense."

"Come here," he tells me as he approaches me, and I do. The kiss he gives me, even though it’s a quick one, makes me feel hot.

I’ve never felt so alive, loved, desired, and important to someone. When he looks at me, he sees me, albeit imperfect, and not just a pair of boobs. I love them but I’ve noticed that it’s the only thing men see. I need someone who intrigues me, who wants to discover me and love me as I am, without changing me, without judging me. And Dylan sees the best of me, he always has. This is one of the things that made me fall for him.

"Should we stop here or should we continue on?” he asks me, waking me from my thoughts.

"Let's stop here. I'm hungry and I want a bed."

"Okay, love,” he says, entering a town. We found a hotel along the road and parked right there.

"This time I'll take care of the room, or do you want to sleep in separate rooms?" I ask, teasing him.

"Don't you dare. I want to sleep with you."

"I thought so,” I say, winking at him.

We take the key and go to the room. I can't wait to lie down.

"Shall we order room service or do you want to go somewhere?” he asks.

"Going somewhere? We just stopped. Please, let's order room service."

"Your every wish is my command, baby,” he says, handing me the menu. Tiredness doesn't make me want anything too fancy, so I order a simple Caesar salad while he grabs a Cuban sandwich, and because it's dinner time, it will take an hour to get our food.
