The alarm goes off, which means we'll be home tonight. I love this moment of the morning when she starts to wake up. She opens her eyes and smiles at me. It's the best good morning ever.
"Good morning," she murmurs, still sleepy. "What time is it?"
"I think it's six am," I reply, kissing her neck.
"Only six o'clock?” she asks, trying to get out of bed. I pull her back, making her laugh.
"Did you forget anything?" I ask, touching her neck with the tip of my nose. I know she loves it, as it gives her goosebumps. She slips her hand into my hair, pulling me toward her and kissing me.
"Hmmm, now you can get out of bed,” I tell her, lying down again and closing my eyes.
After a while, she climbs astride me, trapping me in the blanket.
"Breakfast out or in the room?” she asks.
“Out, I saw a Starbucks not far from here and I’m craving caramel coffee.”
"Ewww, too sweet."
"Have you ever tasted it?"
"No."
"Then don't despise what you’ll surely like."
"Hmm, I doubt it, but I’ll always be able to taste you."
"Always," I tell her as I capture her lips and slip my hands under her nightgown, brushing her delicate skin. I let go of her lips and she moved off me.
Eventually, I head to the bathroom. She has the power to make me hard every second of the day. I'll never get enough of her.
I turn on the hot water while I undress. The heat floods the shower. I rest my arms on the tiles and lie my head on them. The jet of water relaxes me, and I think back to our moments together, how I’d like a future with her. I never imagined that love would make you feel so light.
I feel her hands on my back. I didn't realize she had entered. She says nothing, just kisses my back while she soaps me, massaging my back, arms, and chest. When I reach down to kiss her, I feel like I'm flying. We look into each other's eyes, breathe each other as she washes my hair. They may be simple gestures but they make me feel loved. I raise my head, rinsing while streams of water and foam run down my shoulders and chest. Charlotte follows their course with her fingers and I feel her breath quicken. I smile, capturing her lips, lifting her as she ties her legs to my hips.
I make love to her, taking all the time to taste and savor her.
To make her mine, make her scream my name. God, how I love it when she calls it.
We leave the hotel and stop at Starbucks. Charlotte loves her sugar-free black coffee. I like it too, but every now and then, I want caramel. Oddly, when she tastes it, her expression changes, and she gives it back to me with a disgusted face.
“Love, it's all yours. How can you drink that sugar bomb? " she asks, making me laugh out loud. God, how much I love her.
"I have a great way to burn off the calories," I tell her, grabbing her hips and then kissing her.
"Mmm, I love your way of burning calories," she replies before kissing me and biting my lower lip. I reluctantly let go of her sweet lips as we made our way to the car.
"I can't wait to be home. I have so much to do and so little time," she tells me, heading toward the highway.
"I feel useless not being able to help you with the preparations."
"Don't worry. Lacey and Blaire will help me, and then you have to finish decorating your house before I start work."
"Yeah. That, along with some training, makes me think our time together will be very little."
"I'll always be here, love,” she says, smiling. One of those smiles of hers that makes me melt.
I take her hand and kiss her, enjoying the journey home. Seeing her so relaxed, laughing, and singing puts me in a good mood.
