Coming Clean
Brian
Icouldn't believe it. We had bonded. I smiled as I held Edward close. His cock had slipped from my hole, and his breathing had leveled out. That was the most amazing experience I'd ever had in my life. I felt connected to Edward on a level I never thought possible. He was my everything.
Edward rolled to the side, and I chuckled. My old lion had fallen asleep. I shook my head and slowly slid out from under the covers. I hurried to the bathroom and quickly cleaned up. I stared into the mirror and gently touched the bite mark on my neck.
The mark surprised me. The whole situation surprised me. It was as if my rabbit had taken command. It wasn't just Edward and me in the bonding, but also our animals. It was truly amazing. I shook my head and grabbed a cloth. Warming it with water, I went back to Edward and gently cleaned him. He squirmed in his sleep, but no one liked to go to sleep with dried cum on their junk.
I threw the cloth on the floor and stared back at Edward. He really was my everything, and I'd never give him up. I nodded and reached for my phone on the nightstand. It was time I came clean and faced the consequences.
I laughed. I had turned off my phone after the call from my mom earlier and never turned it back on. I pressed the power button, and instantly my screen lit up with what seemed like hundreds of notifications. My mom must've been pissed I hung up on her.
I sighed and looked at the time, eleven thirty. I knew it was late, but I also knew my mother was a night owl. I nodded again and quickly dialed her number.
"Hello, Brian?" my mom's worried voice answered the call.
"Hi, Ma."
"Don't 'Hi Ma' me. You hang up on me and don't even tell me where you are. What the hell? I raised you better than that," she ranted.
I sighed. “Ma. I’m sorry about hanging up. I really couldn’t talk at the time.”
“And what was so important? Where are you? Who are you with?” My mother demanded.
“I met my mate,” I blurted.
I expected a lot of things when I told my mother, but silence wasn’t one of them. I pulled the phone from my ear. Yeah, still connected, I thought.
Putting my phone back to my ear, I asked, “Ma, you there?”
“Did you just say you met your mate? As in your fated mate?” she whispered.
“Yeah, ma. I met my mate, and that’s why I had to hang up, I’m sorry.”
More silence greeted my reply, and I furrowed my brow. My mom always had something to say about something, and this was freaking me out.
“Ma, are you okay? You there?”
“I’m here. I-I’m just really surprised. Who are they? When did you meet them? Where are you?” she asked quickly, her demanding mother tone that I was used to returning.
I grinned. “I’m in New York—”
“New York! What the hell are you doing in New York?” she yelled.
“Cam, what’s going on? Why are you yelling?” I heard my father ask.
“It’s Brian. He’s in New York,” She explained.
“What the hell is he doing there?”
Shuffling filled the line, and then my father’s voice erupted in my ear. “Brian, we have you on speaker. Why are you in New York?”
I shook my head. “My mate surprised me for a quick getaway because I won a full-ride scholarship to med school.”
“Mate?”
“Med school?” They both yelled at the same time, and I couldn’t help but laugh.
