The girls were totally at ease with her. And Lily? I’d never seen her open up to someone new so quickly.

It was amazing.

But I didn’t want to scare Felicity off. My daughters were energetic, and they could be overwhelming to people. After several minutes of questioning, I decided to wrap things up.

“Girls, it’s time to say goodbye to Felicity.”

“Just five more minutes! Please, Daddy?” Eva begged.

Lily looked up at me with puppy dog eyes.

“Sorry. It’s already past your bedtime. But maybe you can see her later. Felicity, would you like to come by our place tomorrow to discuss your business over lunch?”

Eva beamed. “And play with us?”

“I’d love to,” Felicity laughed.

“Yay!” Eva cheered. Lily was quiet, but a smile crept across her face.

Felicity gathered her belongings again. I got her phone number and texted her our address.

“See you at noon,” I said. “And for the love of God, put those designs in a folder so they don’t blow away.”

“I will,” she said, biting her lip.

Holy shit, I wanted to taste those full, plump lips. I wanted to taste every inch of her perfect body.

But I never slept with business associates.

And Felicity had no idea what kind of business deal she was about to get into.

FELICITY

“How about this one?”

Lauren scrunched her nose up. “No way. Too stuffy. You don’t want to look like a librarian, do you?”

I stood before the mirror in a suit jacket and slacks. “I don’t want to look like an exotic dancer, either. This is a business lunch. With children involved.”

“But you do want him to jump your bones, right?” Lauren grinned.

“Absolutely not! I just want him to invest in my business.”

Lauren lifted an eyebrow. “Uh-huh. I know that look on your face.”

I took refuge in the closet, hiding in the racks of clothes. “There’s no look on my face!”

Lauren followed me, close on my heels. “Yes, there is! You want to bang this guy!”

“I do not!”

She raised both eyebrows expectantly.

I bit my lip. “Okay, maybe I’ve thought about it once or twice.”

“Once or twice? Uh-huh.”
