“You’re so beautiful, Felicity.”

Her eyes widened slightly.

I didn’t wait for her to respond. Bending toward her, I grasped the back of her head with my hand and plunged my fingers into that silky hair. I pressed my mouth against hers, and she sighed against me, parting her lips and kissing me back.

It was like wildfire erupting.

She pressed herself against me, making contact with my rock-hard dick. I thrust the length against her soft belly, and she whimpered in my mouth. I lifted her up by her hips and she wrapped her legs around me. I carried her to the nearest room, which was her bedroom.

I couldn’t wait another second to be inside her. I needed her like I’d never needed anything in my life.

I laid her down on the bed and stood above her. She gazed up at me, panting.

I smiled down at her and started to unbutton my shirt.

But my fingers froze on the first button.

What the fuck was I doing?

My mouth turned dry, and I forced myself to look away.

I was screwing everything up. We’d gotten carried away, lost in the moment. If we went through with this, we’d regret it.

After all, she was the one who said we shouldn’t have a repeat of our first night together.

“I’m sorry, Felicity,” I took a steadying breath, willing my cock to back off. “I shouldn’t have done that. We agreed that night would be a one-time thing.”

I headed toward the door.

“Goodnight,” I said.

I left, closing the door behind me. I couldn’t look back at her. If I did, I knew I wouldn’t be able to stop myself.

FELICITY

What the hell just happened?

One second Cooper was all hot and ready for me. The next he left me high and dry.

Or soaking wet, as the case may be.

And suddenly, I was angry about it.

I didn't appreciate him getting me all worked up and then running out of the room. If he was doing this because of our agreement to no longer have sex after the first time, then it was up to me to set the record straight.

I no longer cared about that agreement. I just wanted to be with Cooper.

I couldn't hide how I felt anymore.

I sprang to my feet and charged out of the room, crossing the hallway quickly. I knocked on the door, then opened it. I was going to give him a piece of my mind, and I didn't want to wait around for him to give me the go-ahead.

“Listen, Cooper,” I said as I walked inside and closed the door behind me. “I don't care about…”

I froze.

I’d walked in on him undressing. He was unbuttoning the last button of his shirt and removing it from his shoulders. We stared at each other for a second.
