Silver swallowed as she came to that realization. She was going to get her heart broken here, and she knew it. There was no way around it. She liked Honor, and even though Honor liked her, too, and that was clear now, the moment Silver tried to take things further and delve into this being a relationship, Honor would pull back again, and Silver wasn’t sure how much more of that she could take.

“Morning,” Honor said.

“Morning. You sound awake.”

“I woke up about twenty minutes ago,” she confessed and kissed Silver’s neck again. “It’s weird, being here like this. It feels like we’re in a bedroom, but we’re not. There’s this giant room of beds and sex swings and your office beyond these little walls.”

Silver rolled in her arms and said, “No one will be here until one, and that’s the cleaning crew. The performers don’t show up until right before the show. Security and the bartenders will get here a little earlier than that, but we can stay in this little cocoon for a while longer, if you want.” She wrapped an arm around Honor and pulled her more fully against herself.

“You don’t have work to do? I know you were kind of occupied with me last night, but it sounds like you didn’t do much work the night before when I wasn’t here, either.” Honor ran her fingertips over Silver’s back.

“I’m good. I honestly love this show, but at the same time, I’m glad tonight is the last night.”

“Yeah?”

“I am so tired.” Silver laughed and pressed her face to Honor’s neck.

Honor laughed as well and said, “I wonder if that has anything to do with what you’ve been up to outside of the show more than the show itself.”

“Could have something to do with it, yeah,” Silver muttered against Honor’s neck. “I don’t want to move.”

“I’m not making you.” Honor continued to run her hand over Silver’s back.

“I like waking up next to you, Honor,” she confessed. “Please don’t freak out because I said that.”

“I’m not freaking out,” Honor replied. “But I do think we have some talking to do.”

“Hello?”

Silver shot up at hearing Devin’s voice outside the walls she’d built around them.

“Who is that?”

“Dev?” Silver asked.

“Yeah, hey. Brandi and I are here; just letting you know. I saw your car out there and figured you were still here. Are you… alone?”

“No!”

Honor’s head was on a swivel, probably looking for her clothes, which were on the floor.

“What are you two doing here?” Silver asked.

“We texted you!” Brandi yelled. “We wanted to grab you for breakfast.”

“Shit,” she said and looked at her phone.

She had noticed missed messages when she’d turned off her alarm but hadn’t bothered to check them.

“We can see the parking lot from our apartment, but we didn’t see another car, so we figured Honor would be gone and you’d just come in early. We walked over. Wait… It is Honor, isn’t it?”

“Yes!” Silver said loudly and turned to Honor, giving her an apologetic look.

“Can we come in? We’ve seen you naked,” Brandi said.

“No!” Honor yelled.

“Oh. I guess we haven’t seen you naked,” Brandi replied. “Shit. Did we interrupt you two?”
