“I still can’t believe you are wearing a Darth Vader costume,” I said and Kenji laughed as he and Fabian talked about the stats for their latest game.

“What? I may have had an extreme upbringing, but I didn’t live under a rock. Everyone knows what Star Wars is and I’ve always thought being the villain would be fun.” He said with a shrug.

Aurora grinned at me from behind her bunny mask, her pants were skintight with a fluffy tail over her ass, and I was already getting hard.

“Remind me again what you are?” Caleb drawled and I rolled my eyes before pulling my mask down.

“I am a wolf. Specifically, a wolf from one of Aurora’s latest smutty novels.” I added a wolfish howl to emphasize my point.

“What book?” Luca asked as he came down the stairs.

“It’s called Terra. It is about a woman who is looking for the existence of wormholes and meets a wolf shifter who is her mate. Her name is Aurora as well.” Aurora winked at me, leaving out the reason why she wanted me to dress like this after reading the story to me.

“Right. Well, can we go now, please? I want to get this over and done with.” Luca groaned and Fabian rolled his eyes before putting his mask on.

“Let’s go. I have some candy to collect.” He said, shaking his container. I put my arm around Aurora, nuzzling her ear.

“Hello, little bunny. This wolf wants to eat you all up.” I purred and she grinned wickedly.

“This bunny thinks the wolf will have to catch her first.” She teased as we left the house.

The streets were already filled with kids and parents as they knocked on doors, yelling trick or treat.

The sound of various spooky decorations echoed around us and laughter made me smile.

Our street was part of the neighborhood that prided itself on being one of the best dressed for Halloween and other themed events. With a mixture of elite families and anyone who had deep pockets to afford the lifestyle of living here, it felt weird to know that three prominent mafia families had now made their home here.

As we walked down the Madden driveway, a group of kids stood near the entrance whispering and pointing to the spot where the body had been found.

Connor was dressed as a zombie as he handed out candy to another group of kids. Elsie was by his side with a squealing Aisling on her hip.

“Is this the house where the body was found?” One of the kids asked and Connor grinned and nodded.

“Yep. Right at the front of our garden.” He said and Elsie sighed, nudging him as the kids said at once. “COOOOL!” They ran off to investigate as Alfie came behind Elsie who was dressed as an angel and kissed her temple.

“What are you supposed to be?” Fabian asked Alfie who stepped aside to pull the hood up and show him the scythe.

“The Grim Reaper,” He said and made a spooky noise at Aisling who clapped.

“Death and his angel.” Elsie said with a grin.

“Oh my god,” Connor muttered as he looked behind us and I turned to watch the Mendez family walk down the driveway.

Serena was dressed as cat woman and Alejandro was Batman. Theo had opted to be the Joker and it looked like Liam was two face.

Diego completed their theme dressed as Robin but it was Dante and Ariana that stole the show.

“That is the best thing I have ever seen,” Aurora muttered as she stifled a laugh.

Ariana was dressed as a fairy princess, complete with sparkly pink wings and a wand and Dante was dressed as… I don’t really know.

“What in God's name are you dressed as?” Luca asked Dante.

“He is my unicorn friend,” Ariana said proudly and we all looked at Dante who grinned and shrugged.

“That explains the headband,” Caleb said as we stared at the pink headband that had a spiral horn covered in glitter.

His face was an explosion of rainbow-coloured face paint and enough glitter to fill a truck.
