At my words, his eyebrows shot up, and then he nodded.
"By the end of all of this, we might have much more in common than we ever realized."
He played a move, and then I thought of something more interesting.
"Rather than waiting for the end... for either of us to move, why don't we do something else?"
"What do you have in mind?" I asked and watched as he took off his glasses.
Finally, we were both becoming completely comfortable with each other, and I absolutely loved it.
"With every move we make, let's ask each other questions. And then at the end, money is the wager."
He narrowed his eyes as he contemplated this, and then he nodded.
"But to make me as engaged as possible, let's take the wager to fifty thousand dollars."
"Hey!" I complained. "I'm out of a fucking job too."
He smiled, and I loved that relaxed sound he made, as though he owned the whole world and absolutely nothing could touch him.
"You can make up for it in other ways," he said, and I knew whatever he was going to say was going to be the best for me.
"What ways?" I asked, and he briefly glanced out of the window in thought.
Then he turned back to me.
"I want you to suck me off," he said, and my heart stopped. And then it resumed once again because I didn't understand why this would be too special.
"I was going to do it at some point during this flight," I said, and he smiled.
"I know, but the more you do it, the farther the date for payment is postponed."
"Oh," I said, and he smiled.
"Yes."
"How much after for each?"
"Two weeks," he said, and I immediately countered this.
"A month."
"Three weeks," he said, and I smiled.
"Standard negotiation tactics."
He shrugged.
I gave this a thought, or rather, I pretended to because I could see absolutely no downside to this whatsoever. My mouth was already watering, and butterflies were swarming in the pit of my stomach at the mere thought of it.
"Okay," I said, and the wager was on.
I made the next move, and then I thought about the question that I was going to ask him first.
I thought hard, and he watched me, but eventually, it came to mind. It was a little weird, but it was something that I had always been curious about.
"What was your first perception of me?" I asked. "I'm just curious."
