"That's enough." Sin pushed him up against the wall. "It's time for you to leave."

"I'll ask you one more time. Is he holding you against your will?"

She looked at Sin. "No."

"There will be a ticket waiting for you at Wick airport that will take you to London tonight," Sin said, letting go of Michael and stepping back. "I suggest you get straight on it."

"I don't need your fucking ticket and I don't need you telling me what to do." He turned to Charlie. "Your father was right. You are dead to us." He started downstairs.

"Michael, wait," Charlie went after him. "You need to be careful. You don't know what you're dealing with. The man who shot at us—"

"Fuck off, Charlie. I can take care of myself." He opened the door to leave. "Fuck the both of you," he yelled, slamming the door behind himself.

She went to the door, but Sin stopped her. "Let him go." He wrapped his arms around her, holding her to his chest. "Let him go, darling."

Silence filled the room. The only sound was the wind whistling off the cold sea and the sharp snap of a gunshot as it propagated outward until it decayed into nothingness.
