“How about we talk to my brothers tomorrow then? For now, what if we clean up the food and then put away your dad’s remains. Even to me, it’s kind of creepy having him in the kitchen.”
“Told you,”Ryan telepathed.
“Fine,” Luke said. “Since you know which bones are important, how about you handle Dad, and Ryan and I will clean up?”
“Deal, but I want a reward for doing that,” she said.
He liked the way she thought. Luke smiled. “Ryan and I will be happy to accommodate you.”
She pumped her fist and then stood. “The sooner I get started, the sooner I can move to the entertainment part of the evening.”
Her smile caused his cock to painfully press against his jeans. Luke stood. “Come on, Ryan. We need to clean up.”
Their chore only took a few minutes, whereas it took Malia a lot longer. She placed the hyoid bone in a baggie, along with the rib that was hit by a bullet. The rest she placed in trash bags, only because they didn’t have anything big enough to hold the bones.
When she finished, she washed her hands. “Shall we?”
Before either of them could respond, she lifted off her sweater and threw it over the kitchen chair.
“Holy shit,” Ryan said.
Malia turned her head and grinned. “Anyone coming?”
* * *
Ryan rushed up behind her and wrapped an arm around her shoulder. He still couldn’t believe how lucky he was to have such an amazing mate. Most women would have taken one look at the bones and run. But not Malia.
Not only that, she was a good sounding board for Luke. Ryan had been pleasantly surprised that Luke listened to her. That respect boded well for their future.
He followed Malia upstairs. He and Luke had decided to ask Malia if she was ready to make love to both of them at the same time. If she said yes, Ryan was going to enjoy her ass this time, and he couldn’t wait.
When she stepped into the bedroom, she turned to face him. “Were you expecting me?”
He’d gone to another town where no one would recognize him and purchased some flowers from the grocery store. He also had picked up a nice floral air freshener to make sure the place smelled fresh. It wasn’t much, but he hoped she’d realize how much he cared. Or should he say, how much he loved her. The idea might seem crazy to a human, but Ryan knew it was true. He was in love with Malia Granger.
She tapped his chest. Apparently, she was waiting for an answer.
“I hoped you’d stop by. Not seeing you yesterday nearly killed me. It’s really hard to focus on anything when you’re not with us.”
She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him. His nails instantly sharpened, and he could actually feel the hair along his jawline sprout.Shit. It was almost as if his body was getting ready to shift. The thing was, Ryan had always been able to control it, but that was before he met Malia.
“You’re both still dressed?” That was from Luke who walked in. He actually sounded unusually upbeat.
They both leaned back, and when Malia’s eyes widened and then a smile captured her lips, Ryan turned around.
“Holy shit. You’re naked, bro.”
“Your point?” Luke asked.
Ryan supposed he had it coming. The last time Malia was there, he’d started before them. “Nothing, other than I need to get cracking.”
He could have sworn Malia’s eyes almost changed color as he ditched his boots, socks, and then the rest of his clothes. Ryan approached her.
“Just hold up there,” she said. “It’s my turn. No touching until I’m done.”
Luke chuckled. “Ryan, can you believe our mate actually thinks she can tell us what to do?”
Ryan stilled, hoping that Luke’s comment didn’t put her off. After all, she was an independent woman. “Malia can tell me what to do any time she likes.”
