“Don’t stop,” she pleaded. “I love it when you fuck me.”

“And I love fucking you.”

An orgasm was building, but it wasn’t an ordinary orgasm. Rather it was an explosion of sensations that seemed to go on and on. Jeff’s cock and fingers were magical, pushing her closer and closer to the point of total euphoria.

One hand tightened on her rear, while he used his other hand to plunge three fingers into her pussy. What sound came out of her mouth was something that was not quite human. Maybe that was because her ears rang from the blood coursing through her body as her climax swooped in. Her breath caught as wave upon wave of delicious pulses clutched her inside. Oh, my, what glory.

Then Jeff’s cock expanded and contracted, stretching her so much that it took her breath away. He must have sensed it was too much for her, because he pulled out.

“Are you okay?” he asked.

“I need a moment to process it all.”

He grinned, tapped the top of her head, and then hopped off the bed. Oh, yeah. His ass was just as fine as the rest of his body. She certainly won the fine-looking men lottery.

Jeff ducked into the bathroom, ran some water, and returned with a towel. “I need to clean you up.”

“I can do it.” Blair grabbed the towel. She never had been pampered much in her life and didn’t think it was right to start now.

“Let’s get dressed. There is something I need to discuss with you,” he said.

That sounded ominous. “Is it about the case?”

“No.”

Now he had her curious.

CHAPTERTWENTY-TWO

Blair followedJeff out to the living room where he motioned she sit on the sofa. For some reason, this felt like some kind of inquisition. “Am I in trouble?”

“God, no. You’re amazing and wonderful. That’s why I need to tell you something.” Jeff sat down and leaned forward. “But what I’m about to tell you will be hard to believe.”

“That you’ve never been in love before?” That sounded egotistical, but it would be a hard thing for Jeff to admit it—or so she thought given his tightly controlled personality.

“That is probably true, but this has nothing to do with my feelings for you.” He cleared his throat. “Not directly at least.” He leaned back. “Shit. I’m doing a really bad job at this. Okay. Here goes. I believe in honesty.”

“Me, too. Without it, there can be no relationship—assuming that’s where you’re going with this.” Talking about love at this stage, however, was a bit too premature, though Blair believed that her feelings could turn into full-blown love.

“I don’t want to come off as a narcissist, but when you’re around me and Zane, does your body vibrate with need?”

Her pulse rose. “Did Avery say something?”

He let out a long breath. “No, but it’s a symptom of something.”

“A symptom? Like I’m allergic to you or something?”

Jeff looked to the side. “Zane should be here. He’d explain it better. Tell me this, did you wonder why you can see in the dark quite well and run faster than most?”

The blood nearly drained from her face. She’d never mentioned to anyone that she outran all of her peers. “Since I don’t know how well others can see, I can’t judge my eyesight, but I do see well in the dark.”

“And running?”

“Yes, why do you ask?”

Jeff slapped his hands on his legs. “I don’t know how to tell you this, so I’ll just come out and say it. Your father was a werewolf, and as such you are one too. Mind you, you can’t change into a wolf like men can.”

A bubble of laughter burst out of her. “Seriously? We have mind-blowing sex, and instead of being willing to talk about it afterward, you concoct this crazy story? Next, you’ll tell me that you’re a vampire.”
