“Fucking Dasha. This is all his fault!” she yelled out to the quiet condo.

The doorbell chimed, interrupting her plot for revenge. She tightened her silk robe on the way to the door. If it was Venchi, she was sending him downstairs with her dry cleaning. That’llshow him.

“Aksana Kovalyova?”

“Yes?”

She was greeted by many roses she couldn’t see the delivery man’s face. Maybe Venchi wasn’t so clueless after all.

It took four guys to deliver the roses into her condo. The beautiful red blooms covered every surface in the kitchen, dining and living areas. She closed the door in shock after reading and rereading the card in her hands.

“I can give you everything you need and more, Dasha.”

“Shit.” Aksana ran a shaky hand through her hair. As much as she hated to admit it, she missed him like crazy. Venchi was fun and all, but Dimitri never left her unsatisfied. In or out of bed.

Karina stretched and cuddled closer to Vladimir until he pulled her into his arms. She got back to town late last night. She barely had enough energy to crawl into bed and cuddle with her husband before falling asleep.

“How did you sleep, Solynchnka?”

“Like I could close my eyes and rest another twelve hours.”

Vladimir let out a grunt of understanding. His long fingers traced the curve of her spine, raising goosebumps in their wake.

It wasn’t long until Karina was flat on her back as he trailed kisses down her torso. She arched her back in anticipation as he prepared to wake her up in his favorite way.

“I could stay here forever,” Vlad moaned against her pelvic bone.

Karina tangled her hands in his short hair, urging him to connect with her most intimate parts. He was so close she could feel his breath against her nub. She raised her hips, hoping to entice him further, and he relented.

Her cry of relief turned into one of frustration when their prospective alarm clocks went off.

“No!”

“Fuck!”

They both had busy days ahead of them. Vlad crawled up her body and used his free arm to turn off the blaring sound. She wound her arms around his neck and tried to ignore the pulsing meat stick on her hip. His blue eyes blazed with an unfulfilled hunger that matched her own.

“I had a plan to show you how much I missed you.” Somehow, after all these years, that crazy look in his eye still gave her butterflies.

“Tonight?”

“Tonight.” He sealed the promise with a kiss before heading to the shower.

She walked into the kitchen thirty minutes later to find Artym eating sliced fruit from a bowl. The nannies were busy taking the children to school. Chef Josephine kept an eye on him while she tidied up the kitchen after breakfast.

“Mama!” His eyes lit up when he spotted her.

“There you are, baby boy.” She scooped her youngest up in her arms. “Are you ready to see your school today?”

Artym frowned, thinking. Then slowly he nodded.

“If we’re lucky, we can see Anya or Alexander while we’re there. Wouldn’t that be fun?”

Finally, a dimpled smile graced his face. As tired as she was, Karina was still a little sad for her baby to start school. Selfishly, she didn’t want this day to come, but she knew Artym was too gifted to stay at home much longer.
