“A lot of goodies.”
Brett tugged her against him. “It’s not the goodies I’m there for.” He turned her from him and gave her a little shove. “Go before I try to convince you to stay.”
She faced him, and her hand touched his cheek. “It wouldn’t take much.”
Then she walked to the door, opened it, and stepped out. Before closing it, she looked at him and grinned.
“Greatass, Watkins.” She closed the door.
Brett chuckled, got a cold drink from the fridge, then walked to the living room to watch TV.

“Shit. Shit. Shit.” JoJo hit the steering wheel with her fist. “Greatass? That was one tight, toned ass, and I want to sink my teeth into it.”
When she was about to enter the bedroom, she saw him standing with his back to her. Naked. She moved her eyes down his back to his ass and almost attacked him. She bit her lip.
JoJo knew his body was hot, but she tried to make him mentally turn to face her so she could see where that happy trail led.
Reaching over, she turned the fan up on the a/c because she was burning up, and it had nothing to do with the weather but everything to do with Brett.
“Shit. Shit. Shit,” she repeated.
How was she supposed to forget seeing him like that? She knew that image would keep her awake tonight.
They had a wonderful day together, and she couldn’t wait to see him again. There were things they needed to talk about. She wanted to know about his ex. If they kept seeing each other, she’d tell him about Rich, and it was only fair she knew about the woman who left him. The things a couple discussed when starting a relationship. And she hoped that’s where this led.
Monday morning, JoJo unlocked the door to the bakery, entered, and locked it behind her. She knew Courtney was here since the light in the kitchen was on, but JoJo wanted to fill the cases with cupcakes and other goodies. They donated anything left over from Saturday, and since they weren’t open on Sunday, everyone was to be here early to get the shop ready on Mondays.
“Hey, Courtney,” she said when she entered the kitchen.
“Hey, JoJo. I’m getting some trays ready. Sloane was in yesterday and baked, so we weren’t rushed.”
“Okay. Let me put my purse in the safe, and I’ll be right back.”
Courtney nodded, and JoJo went to Sloane’s office to stash her purse.
When she returned to the kitchen, she removed an apron hanging from a hook, put it on, attached her nametag to the strap, and got to work.
As the day wore on, she hoped Brett would come in, but he didn’t, and she couldn’t get over how disappointed she was.
Sloane came from the kitchen with another tray and slid it into the case. She straightened up and groaned.
“Are you okay?” JoJo asked.
“My back is bothering me, but I’m fine.” Sloane smiled. “We finally got a break.”
“It will pick up after lunch. Some people want a pleasant treat after eating lunch.”
“True. So, how did your father’s birthday go?”
“It was great. He complained about the gag gifts, but it was all in fun. He loved the cake.”
“Oh, I’m so glad. Did you do anything else?”
JoJo looked at her with suspicion. “Why do you ask?”
Sloane grinned. “I heard you were with a man at Dewey’s Friday evening.”
