Page 41 of Thorn Evermore

Thorn gazes at me with heavy eyes. The air in the roomfeels somehow thick, tangible, and scented like… My eyelids flutter. Wine? Something sweet and earthy like that. Maybe it’s just Thorn.

He stalks toward me, and my body heats with each step he takes closer. Thorn starts by delicately removing each of my shoes and tossing them across the room. Then he climbs up the bed, straddling me as he begins to untuck my shirt.

“Has anyone ever worshipped you, Kyson?”

I shake my head, licking my dry lips.

“Shame.” He pushes my shirt up, revealing my chest and soft belly. My normal instinct to squirm away from his scrutiny is quelled. Iwanthim to look at me. I want him to want me as I am. “So pretty,” he whispers, rubbing his hand over my tummy, tickling the little bit of hair there. Bending his head, he kisses the small mole near my belly button. “Precious.”

He works the buttons on my pants open, sighing as he tugs them slightly. I lift my hips to help, another tendril of heat working its way through me as my underwear follows my pants. My cock, already sticky, smacks against my stomach with a loudthwack.

Thorn inhales deeply then hums softly. “Gods, your scent should be bottled.”

My scent?

“Look at you, gorgeous. Laid out for me like a fine meal. Don’t move.”

“Never,” I mutter, finally finding my voice.

Thorn launches himself out of bed and across the room to an armoire. I balance on my elbows and stare at his tight ass while he looks for something. When he twists around to face me again, he’s sporting a big smile.

In his hand is a small bottle of something blue and shimmery. “Adventure time.”

“What is that?”

“A mood enhancer. It’s a hundred percent safe andnatural. It wasn’t made in a lab or cut with anything dangerous.”

“What does it do?”

He hands me the bottle as he climbs back into bed with me. I study it, marveling at the swirling liquid. It’s like it’s got its own whirlpool inside.

“It intensifies everything by relaxing you. You won’t be able to think of anything but pleasure. No intrusive thoughts, no past experiences, just us. Now.”

“That sounds kind of neat. Are you sure it’s safe?”

“Positive. I know exactly how it was made and by whom. In fact, I’ve been saving it for a worthy occasion. I finally found one.”

I continue to study the bottle, thinking over his words. What would it be like to have sex with someone and not replay every insecurity? Maybe I could feel as sexy as Thorn seems to think I am.

“It wears off in about an hour. Two at the most. Just depends on your metabolism.”

I nod, exhaling slowly. “I want to try it.”

“That’s my sweet boy.”

I scoff at that. “I haven’t been a boy in a long time, but somehow you make me feel young again.”

“You are young. Forty is just the beginning.”

I want to argue, but he’s so earnest that my thoughts fall away. “I’ll try to remember that.”

Thorn takes the bottle from me and pulls the wax-covered cork off. The liquid inside swirls even more, and a strange sweetness fills the air around us. He dips his finger inside and tastes it.

“Drink it down.”

“Aren’t you having some?”

“No, sweetheart. I don’t need help indulging in pleasure. It’s my entire reason for existing.”
