She shivers, still on top of me, but then leans forward and places a hand on either side of my head.

“I can’t believe I managed to do it,” she says with an elated smile on her face.

ChapterFifteen

I giveher a confused smile in return as she lifts herself off and sits on the mattress next to me.

“I didn’t think it was going to happen, Dalton, but I did it. Aren’t you proud of me?” she asks as she busies herself, shoving her tits back into her bra, then fixing her shirt.

“Yeah, I guess. Thatwaspretty wild. Maybe we can do it again sometime,” I say with a laugh as I run a hand back through my sweat-slicked hair.

“That’s kind of the point,” she states with a laugh. She lets out a deep breath as she scoots off the side of the bed, then bends down to retrieve her briefs and shorts. “He’s gonna be so fucking proud of me. They both are.”

I arch an eyebrow curiously as I prop myself up on my elbows. “Who is?”

“Daddy and that bitch he lives with,” she replies as she tucks her hair behind her ears, then places her hands on her hips. “I told them Jessa wouldn’t be able to do it, but I could if they just gave me enough time.”

“What are you talking about?” I ask, still confused but starting to feel agitated.

“Come on, you can’t tell me that you’rethatstupid, Dalton,” she remarks with an eye roll.

I sit up and wrap my arms around my knees, looking at her expectantly.

“I told you that Jessa and I had some stuff in common. I told you that I understood why she was such a bitch when I met her, and I told you that I didn’t hear the argument you guys had.”

The smirk that starts to flit across her lips is starting to make me feel angry and sick all at the same time.

I get up quickly and find my boxers, pulling them on, then walk around the bed and grab her by the arm. She tries to pick my fingers off, but I tighten my grip so damn much that I know I will leave a nasty bruise on her flesh.

“What do you have in common?” I press in a low, shaky tone.

“Daddy,” she grunts as she tries to tug her arm out of my grip.

My mouth goes dry as if I’m chewing on balls of cotton.

Jessa’s words suddenly come back to haunt me.

“I wouldn’t make it a habit of coming back to this block. You never know just how many of us there are.”

“Oh, God, I’m gonna be fucking sick,” I say, hunching over as the inside of my mouth suddenly becomes slick with nausea.

“Stop acting like such a baby,” Camille admonishes. “The other two are still too young to keep Daddy’s line pure, and you’re the best we’ve been able to find, so you had to be prepped for it. We’ve already passed the first step, Dalton. Now you know how to love your family properly.”

Bang, bang, bang!

Someone is at the door again, and so help me God, if it’s another fucking one of his mutants, I’m going to lose my shit and kill them all.

“Don’t you dare fucking move,” I seethe at her as I let go of her arm and give her a shove back onto the bed.

“Where would I go?” she calls after me with a laugh.

I grind my teeth together as I head toward the front door and whip the fucking thing open so violently that I’m surprised it’s still attached to the hinges.

A woman is standing with her back to the door. Her hand is gripping a heavy, wooden cane, and she’s leaning slightly to the left.

“What the fuck do you want?” I snarl at her.

She tilts her head toward the sky for a moment before she shakes her head, chuckling, then slowly turns to face me.
