“But you want to. Right?” Rylie’s voice was confused.

“Well. Duh. I’m not blind. He’s my own personal Thor.”

Rylie laughed. “Then why haven’t you?”

“We’ve been taking our time. It’s not like we’re not doing things. I mean we make out like horny teenagers as soon as Phoenix leaves the room.”

“Do you want me to take her for the weekend? You can light candles, throw rose petals and brown chicken brown cow?” Rylie winked and I promptly choked on my margarita.

After I got myself under control, I looked at her, slack jawed. “I don’t even know where to start with that.” It wasn’t often I didn’t have a comeback.

“How about you start from the beginning. How was the trip?” Stephanie added another scoop of guac to her stomach plate and leaned back against the couch.

“Yeah. How did Vegas go?” Rylie asked, grabbing her glass off the coffee table.

I bit the inside of my lip and rubbed my chest. I sighed. “I think I should start before Vegas.”

“I don’t think you’ve updated us since you found Asher with the barefoot bimbo.” Stephanie pointed out.

“Bimbo?” I laughed because it was Stephanie. I loved when she said things like that.

“You caught Ash with who?” Rylie’s voice was hard like she was going to walk out and shank Asher right then and there.

“Woah. Calm down, Momma bear. She’s not as much of a bimbo as I thought.”

Rylie leaned back against the cushions. “You need to fill me in here.”

I nodded before shoving another chip in my mouth and explained what happened after the party.

Stella answering the door barefoot still fucking irked me for some impossible reason.

I refrained from telling them about the look she gave me when Ash wasn’t looking. It was possessive and smug. Like I initially had the right idea when I opened the door. It was like she wanted to be the one living in his house.

The one sleeping with him.

Which was absolutely crazy and Asher already explained their relationship. I should believe him.Right?

“I have a question.” Stephanie stopped me. “How come your voodoo didn’t work when she answered the door?”

“I wonder if it’s because it directly affected her relationship.” Rylie suggested before I could answer.

Stephanie shook her head. “But they didn’t have a relationship at the time.”

“Not technically, but she loves him so it’s kinda the same.” Rylie pointed a chip in her direction, eyes squinted. “Oh. What if her voodoo is broken?”

“Can I ask what voodoo we are talking about here?” I laughed, cutting them off.

“Your sex voodoo,” Rylie said like it was obvious.

Stephanie nodded. “You know the one where you can tell just from looking at someone if they’ve been banging or participated in some form of bang.”

Rylie groaned, rolling her head back. “Why does everyone insist on using that word?”

“Because it’s fun to say.” I grinned, loving how everyone used it now just to mess with Rylie. “And the voodoo’s not gone.”

“How do you know?” Stephanie raised a brow.

“Because you had sex before we got here.” I pointed at her.
