I saw her shiver, our disconnection removing the warmth we shared and making her instantly cold.

In the darkness of the crowd, I saw her turn quickly. Left, then right, confusion etched on her face.

And before I could change my mind, I left the club, going home for a cold shower.

I’d never jerked my cock so hard. Yanking my hand up and down in the shower, I beat off so intensely that it angered me.

“Fuck!”

I dropped my head back, and the water pelted my skin as I jerked in a frenzy.

“Peneloooppppeeee…”

Slosh, slosh, slosh, slosh.

“Argggggggh!”

Slosh! Slosh! Slosh! Slosh!

“Shiiiiiit!”

I shot come all on the nozzle and shower wall, rising to my toes and bouncing there as my climax filled the drain.

“Shit!”

I slapped the shower wall, annoyed.

Settling back on the soles of my feet, I pulled my head up and dropped it forward, letting the water cascade over my head and down my back.

This was what it had come to. I laughed wildly and shook my head. I’d gone from fucking random women when my appetite craved a release to longing for someone I could no longer have.

I’d let my father control my life, and I was beyond tired of the charade. The only way to get my freedom would be from his death.

I stood there brooding with my eyes closed. As much as I hated the old man, I couldn’t kill him. A weird part of me had genuine love for him, and that was the most insane thing above all else.

Still, I needed to talk to him. But I needed more time to figure out how to get my point across without us warring within.

Penelope

The following week

Curious eyes and whispers were glued to me when I walked the halls to my next class. I bent a corner and ran into Alice, who had her head down, texting on her phone.

“Oh!”

“Penelope!”

We squatted at the same time and picked up our purses and cells.

“You have to watch where you’re going,” I said. “I hope you don’t drive like this.”

Her face turned beet red, and she shook her head frantically. “No. No. I don’t text and drive. In fact, I’m the safest driver on the road.”

“Hmmm,” I said. “We’ll see about that.” I noticed the new hairdo and smiled. “I love these curls. I don’t think I’ve ever seen your hair this loose. Is it over for the ponytails?”
