“I heard you’re going motorcycle riding!” Aurora’s excitement through the phone made me stop what I was doing and cock my head, wondering how she had been informed. It wasn’t a secret, but I wasn’t exactly willing to invite the entire wedding party. It was a special time ahead that I had been looking forward to, and the one person I recalled inviting was Evelyn.

“Evelyn told you?” I asked.

“You really want to take my photographer to work for you without even bothering to invite me along?”

“Photographer to work for me?” I looked up once again from my laptop and realized that this was how she had sold it to Aurora. Smiling, I couldn’t help but shake my head. “It's private. Only she is invited.”

“Absolutely motherfucking not,” she cursed, and I was amused again. It was always so fun to me when she cursed in that way. “My fiancé is coming. I told you he loves motorcycles.”

I considered this; however, before I could respond, she spoke.

“You've hijacked our wedding so far with everything that you wanted, so you can’t say no for this. You have to agree.”

I sighed. I definitely didn't want company, and Evelyn, I wanted there because I wanted her to ride with me. Plus, I was sure to want to fuck at some point, and there would be no one else I wanted. I can imagine it now. Perhaps, I would sit on the bleachers, and she would be wrapped around me… Riding made adrenaline shoot up my system in a way that I couldn’t quite explain, and I just needed her to be there when I needed to fucking calm my excitement down.

Sighing, I knew I couldn’t refuse now, so I agreed. Plus, it would definitely make Evelyn feel better, I supposed.

“Sure,” I said. “We leave in twenty minutes.”

“Oh my God. Really, that’s so soon. Alright, I’ll let him know. How are we going?”

“Helicopter,” I replied, and she was off the phone in the next second.

I continued working; however, my mind couldn’t help but go to the woman that I had announced my plans to and who I had been expecting a call from. Just then, there was a knock on my door, but I was reluctant to get it.

It came again, irritating me, until I realized that I had told Evelyn to come over to my room.

I got up then and headed over to the door, and when I pulled it open, I saw her indeed waiting.

My heart jumped in my chest as I saw her. Every time I laid my eyes on her, I was sure she couldn’t look more beautiful, but in this moment, I had to lean against the door because fuck... She looked so casual, her face barely with any makeup, but by pulling her hair completely back, she looked so fucking gorgeous that it took me a while to process her outfit.

“Hi,” she said, and I opened the door wider, ushering her in.

She had on a cropped top, stretchy, long-sleeved. It completely exposed her stomach, and then she had fitted jeans that shaped the curve of her ass in a way that made me want to bury my face between her cheeks. And then she had on platformed biker boots, and I couldn’t look away from her.

“You got a jacket?” I asked, and she immediately turned self-conscious.

“Oh, I'm sorry,” she said. “I tried to dress appropriately, but I didn’t really have any biker wear. I hope this is alright.”

I leaned forward then and kissed her on the cheek as my phone began to ring once again.

“You look wonderful,” I said.

“I’m just worried you might get cold on the way there. I’ll give you my jacket, don’t worry,” I said and returned to my desk.

“You’re right on time,” I told her. I just need to finish up with this review, and I’ll be ready to leave.

“Alright,” she said, and I tried to focus on my work. It was difficult since she was standing right there, and it made me realize just how excited I was to have her around. It surprised me, truly, and I couldn’t help but glance back at her. I hadn’t felt this way about anyone in perhaps forever, and I wondered what it was about her. Suddenly, I wanted to know everything about her. After this week, and who knew, I might never get the chance.

“Do you usually work with one client at a time?” I asked as I continued my review.

“Um, sometimes,” she replied. “I’m not always so busy.”

“How about right now?” I asked. “You're solely focused on Aurora?”

“Yes. And you, apparently,” she said, and I paused then, unable to keep myself from turning to stare at her.

“She thinks I’ve asked you to take my photos.”
