“I have my camera gear packed,” she replied. I raised my brows then, needing an explanation, but she was distracted as her eyes kept going around my room.

“Uh, that was her assumption. I’m going to correct it, but Victoria was there, and I didn’t want to make it a whole thing.”

“It’s not a bad thing,” I said as I turned fully then to watch her. “You think we can sneak off at some point to fuck in a corner?”

At the words, there was a kick of arousal in my stomach, and as her lips slightly parted, I could tell that she had a similar reaction. She stared at me so softly but shyly, and then she blushed and looked away. How fucking adorable. I loved it especially as she bit down on her bottom lip, and I found myself rising to my feet then.

I wasn’t supposed to be doing this. I was supposed to be concluding my work before we left; however, I had made the mistake of inviting her over, so I had to pay for it. I didn’t even know what I wanted to do. I just knew that I wanted to feel her and be close to her, so I headed over.

My arms went around her slim waist as I arrived, and then my hands went downwards to cup her ass. I wished she had worn something a bit softer and flowy for easier access, but this too was good. I needed, however, to see what she wore underneath, and so my curious fingers slid down as I leaned down to kiss her. By the time we parted, my hands had hiked up the thin fabric that she had on.

Breathless, I pulled the strap up just over her hip, and she gasped into my mouth. I understood why.

“You’re wet?” I asked, and she swallowed.

"Soaked,” she replied, and my brain scrambled to a halt. “When you pull like that…”

“Grabs your clit?”

She smiled again, and I couldn’t stop myself from leaning forward to nibble on her plump lower lip. I kissed her long, soft, and deep, and when we parted, we couldn’t look away from each other.

“I’ll get my jacket,” I said, and she nodded.

“How do I look?” I asked, and she sighed. I completely understood and felt something flutter through my belly. Her gaze was full of appreciation, and I loved every moment of it.

I had contemplated between a short-sleeved fitted black shirt and a tank top, and in the end, decided to go with solely the tank, tight jeans, boots, and the jacket I was now going to hand over to her. I looked good, huge and strong, and she looked even more sexy beside me. Picture-perfect was what came to mind, and I wanted to take a picture, but this desire immediately shut down.

I knew a dangerous situation when I saw one, and slowly, this was what this was turning into.

I found the jacket in my closet, brought it out, then I placed it over her shoulders. She held onto it and then leaned over to sniff it.

“I love the way you smell,” she said, and it made me smile. Soon we got out of the room and walked side by side.

“Perhaps I should go ahead?” she asked. “I'll meet you downstairs.”

“No need,” I replied and caught her hand to keep her by my side.

Just then, Aurora emerged from her own room with her fiancé in tow, and I could see the smile slightly falter from her face as she noticed that Evelyn's hand was in mine. Evelyn, ever watchful, pulled her hand away, and Aurora, ever careful, ignored it and returned the smile to her face.

“Ready?” she asked and bounded over. I kissed her cheek, and we were on our way.

“Motorcycles and everything else are there?” she asked, and I gave her a look at the ridiculous question. From then onwards, I removed my attention from both women but instead focused it on my soon-to-be brother-in-law.

We were right on time because only after just a few minutes of talking, the helicopter arrived, and we were all ushered over.

Chapter Thirty-Four

Evelyn

“How long is this trip going to take?” I asked Aurora.

It was quite difficult to hear in the helicopter, but it was also quite uncomfortable to have been seated with her for so long, and yet we hadn’t spoken. She was solely focused on scrolling through her phone while the men spoke, and I didn't know how to feel about this. I hadn’t missed her look of surprise, or was it displeasure, when she had seen my hand in Drake’s.

However, she had quickly covered it up and continued on. It was clear now, however, that she was somewhat withdrawing from me. It wasn’t surprising; it just felt a bit disheartening.

To my surprise, however, she turned right then and smiled at me.

“We have about twenty-five minutes left.” she said and turned to look at her brother. I tried to avoid his eyes, but I couldn’t any longer. He nodded, and then he looked at me. My eyes went down his nose, biceps, and the slabs of muscle straining against his skin, and I couldn't help but shift restlessly. The act between my thighs, coupled with his inhumane sex appeal and the tension in the air, made me want to combust from the inside out. I was so antsy and turned on that it was hard to breathe.
