Now her voice sounded almost childlike. And why did she like the way she sounded?
“Ahh. I see. Well, I came up to tell Ally that it’s time to go home. But maybe she can come over for another coloring date again tomorrow or the next day.”
Ally stuck her lip out in a pout but stood from the bed and went to Luke, who was holding out his hand for her. He kissed the top of her head and smiled adoringly at her. Haylee noticed her cheeks were also bright red while both men seemed to be utterly amused.

KANE
Walking upstairs to find Haylee examining Ally’s pull-up had been quite a surprise. And adorable as hell. Both girls seemed to be in some sort of state of Little space when Luke interrupted them. The way Haylee lowered her eyes and answered Luke in such a sweet Little voice had Kane aching to go pick her up and snuggle her. She had seemed embarrassed, yet he guessed from the look in her pale blue eyes that she wasn’t hating it.
After seeing Luke and Ally out, Kane paced downstairs, unsure of what to do next. He wanted to talk to Haylee about it more, but he also didn’t know where she stood with the topic. Obviously, she’d had some sort of discussion with Ally about it, considering how the men had found them. Might as well bite the bullet.
As he started up the stairs, Haylee was heading down toward him. She looked nervous, almost trembling.
“What are you doing, baby?”
She looked up to see him standing at the bottom of the stairs, and he thought for a brief moment that she was going to bolt. Instead, she made her way further down the stairs toward him.
“Can we talk?”
Well, that didn’t sound ominous or anything.
“Of course. Come sit on the couch with a blanket.”
He waited until she made it to him at the bottom step and then led her to the couch. He grabbed a throw blanket off the arm and put it over her lap. Her hands were shaking, and he didn’t like that. Kane sat on the coffee table in front of her, taking her hands in his.
“What’s wrong, baby alligator?”
She let out a deep breath and laughed. “I feel so silly. But I talked to Ally about… well… Daddies and being a Little.”
Kane smiled. “I kind of gathered that when we found you checking out her pull-up.”
Her face lowered, and he could see the rosy color coming to her cheeks. Not wanting her to hide from him, he lifted his hand to her chin to raise her head up gently until her eyes met his. She looked so soft and vulnerable that he couldn’t help but move over to the couch and pull her into his lap, turning her so she could look at him.
“What did you find out from Ally?”
“She said she’s the happiest she’s ever been and that she couldn’t imagine her life not being a Little and that it’s such a safe feeling.”
Nodding, he ran his hand up and down her spine. “Being in that kind of dynamic is meant to make the Little feel safe and secure in all ways. It’s also a Daddy’s job to make sure that his Little is happy, mentally, physically, and emotionally.”
“I didn’t wear a pull-up last night,” she blurted out.
Did she think he would be upset about it?
“That’s okay, baby. It isn’t something I would force. I just wanted to give you the option. I’m not the type of Daddy that requires that. I just want my Little to be comfortable at whatever age she feels most comfortable with. Some Littles wear diapers, and some don’t. I am happy either way as long as she is happy.”
Haylee nodded, seeming to think that through. “It’s not that I’m totally against it, but I just don’t think I’m ready for something like that. I do think I’m a Little, but I don’t think I’m that Little.”
So, she did realize she was a Little. Thank God for that. It would make things easier for them to transition into a dynamic. If that was even what she was wanting, and he hoped like hell she did because he didn’t think he’d ever be able to date anyone after having Haylee in his home. She was too special, and he’d barely even gotten to scratch the surface of her yet.
“That’s okay if you aren’t ready, and it’s okay if you’re never ready. Just know they are there if you ever want them.”
She nodded, twisting her hands together nervously.
“Haylee, I’d love to be your Daddy if you’d like to explore your Little side. I think you are a really special girl, and even when you’re in another room, I can’t stop thinking about you. I have wanted to Daddy you since the moment I laid eyes on you.”
Okay, maybe a little forward, but at least it was out there for her to consider. The worst that could happen was being completely rejected.
