“We were going to tell you after the shock of everything. With us finding each other, finding out the truth... well, most of it, and then, well... yes, kidnapping you.” I try to lighten the mood with a chuckle, but she isn’t having it.
“And then... Well, not to be an asshole, this one here tells you that your scent matched and that was another big life changing thing on top of everything you were already going through. We didn’t want to pressure you or stress you out. We were waiting until life got a little more relaxed before we did.”
“You're joking right? It didn’t take me long with being on the road with you guys to figure out that rock stars don’t fucking live relaxed lives!” she shouts.
“Yeah, we should have realized that.” I scratch the back of my neck.
“Jelly Bean, please, don’t hate us. We didn’t do it to be cruel. We really did have your best interest in mind.”
She takes a deep breath again, closing her eyes. “This is a lot. Fuck. My brain is going wild, my body is screaming at me. And there’s so many conflicting feelings. While I want to be pissed at you for keeping something so big from me, I’m also so fucking thrilled I don’t know how to handle it.”
Hope fills me, but I don’t let it consume me as tears spill from her eyes. “Jelly Bean, please don’t cry.” Griffin takes a step toward her, but she puts a hand up and shakes her head.
“Do you know how many nights I’ve dreamed of this? That you three were not only my alphas but my scent matches,” she questions, voice cracking. “I would stay up every night knowing you three were in the next room, and I’d pray to whatever God was out there that he would give you three to me. That you would be my alphas, and I’d be your omega. And not only that, but have the universe design me just for you. The hope of that ever being true died when we met again, spent time together and nothing. Because never in my mind did I think you would know I was your scent match and not tell me. So I assumed it didn’t happen. But now, I walk in after my alpha blockers have worn off, only to find that it was a lie. That you really are my scent match.”
“You can hate us all you want, but we didn’t do this to be dicks,” Zane growls. “We didn’t want to scare you off.”
She ignores Zane and looks at me. “Were you ever going to tell me?”
“Yes,” I reply quickly. “We were going to wait until the Greece trip. That way we could have more time for you to come to terms and hopefully not hate us.”
“When you found out...” she starts with a quiver in her voice. “Were you happy? Or were you disappointed?”
My eyes widen in shock at her question. “Happy? No.” I shake my head. “No, Tiny, happy wasn’t the word to describe how we felt. We were ecstatic. It was like all our dreams came true the moment we smelled you. We already knew you were ours, you were always going to be ours. That just proved it. You were destined for us as we were destined for you. Being around you, smelling your intoxicating scent, it’s been the sweetest hell. Because Tiny, the amount of times we had to keep our hands to ourselves and not ravish you at any moment we could was near impossible. We love you, Jade. We want you for the rest of our lives. We want our marks right next to his.”
I take a step forward, my heart thudding in my chest as I bring my hand up to brush it against Calvin’s fresh mate mark. She shudders, eyes closing as she takes in a deep breath.
“So you want me? You’re happy about this?”
“You’re ours, Jade. We were never planning on letting you go,” Zane states.
She turns her eyes to Zane. “What if I wanted to leave after the two months were up? You said you would let me go.”
“We lied,” he growls. “Because there's no way in hell I’d ever let you go, Jade. Same with these two.” He points to Griffin and me. “I would have tracked your sexy ass down and kidnapped you all over again. And if you ran, I’d do it again. If you ran for a third time, I’d lock you in my fucking basement and keep you there forever.”
She blinks at him, lips parted. I’m about to chew his ass out for being a crazy fucker and fucking this up when Jade laughs. “You really are batshit crazy.”
Zane smirks. “Yes, but mostly for you, Trouble.” He winks.
“Holy shit. You three assholes are my scent matches.” She laughs.
“We are, Jelly Bean.” Griffin grins.
She bites her lip. “I should be pissed, I should be livid that you assholes knew. But...” she sighs heavily. “I’m too fucking happy.”
“Really?” My grin gets so wide it takes over my entire face. “You’re not mad?”
“Oh, don’t get me wrong. I’m still fucking pissed. But it’s not worth it. Why be angry over something I’ve wanted for so long. I lost so much time with you three, I don’t want to lose anymore.”
“I have a confession to make,” Calvin chimes in.
“What?” Jade asks.
“I... I kind of knew about them being your scent match. But only since that first night in the hotel when this asshole tried to kick my ass,” he confesses, nodding toward Zane.
“I did kick your ass,” he snarls.
“No, you didn’t babe.” Griffin chuckles. “Just gracefully admit defeat on that one.”
