Page 6 of The Alpha's Huntress

It was a vacation home but we never used it. There was already furniture in the rooms and living room.

I left Midnight in the living room as I went to my truck and unloaded the boxes.

After I was done unloaded the boxes, I decided to watching Netflix on my laptop.

I sat on my bed as Midnight jumped on and curled up next to me.

She put her head on my lap and nuzzled my laptop of my lap.

“You don’t want to watch Netflix?” I asked her.

She shook her head no and started to tug on my shirt.

I hoped off the bed and followed her. She dragged me into the kitchen and held up her leash with her mouth.

“Oh, you want to go out.”

She put her leash down and barked once.

I hooked the black leash on her red collar and grabbed my phone and keys.

We made our way outside. Midnight was leading the way.

I don’t know where she’s taking me, but I trust her.

She kept dragging me until a small park came into view.

There was some parents here with their kids at the playground.

“Why did you bring me here?” I asked.

She ignored me and kept tugging on her leash.

I unhooked the leash from her and let her run.

She stopped and sat down in front of the family.

“Midnight!” I called for her but she stood still.

I ran after her. “Midnight!”

I caught up to her and hooked her leash back on.

“Sorry, if she bothered you. We just moved in and she wanted to go for a walk.” I apologised to the family in front of me.

The woman’s eyes shifted colors in a split second, but I saw it.

Werewolves.

“It’s OK sweetie. You just moved in you say.” She said.

I nodded.

“Well, be careful there’s some wild dogs around here. I recommend staying inside at night.” Her husband suggested.

They’re warning me about the rogues.

“Oh, ok. Sorry for bothering you. Do you know exactly where these dogs are? Just so I know to stay away from there.” I asked.
