Page 7 of The Alpha's Huntress

“Yes, they’re south and east from here. Be careful.” The woman said.

Mental note: The rogues are east and south from this park.

“Ok, thank you.” I thanked and walked off.

As soon as I was out of sight I bent down to Midnight’s level.

“Good girl.”

I held up my hand. She lifted her paw up and place it on my hand. Giving me a hi-five. Or should I say hi-four.

We kept walking until our new house came back into view.

Once we were inside I took out the boxes with all my weapons in them and took off my glasses.

I took them into the kitchen and started to sharpen all my knifes, daggers, and arrows.

Midnight hopped on one of the stools in front of me holding a picture frame in her mouth.

I took it from her and saw it was a painting of my grandparents on their wedding day.

“I know. I made a promise to make a friend. Maybe tomorrow I’ll go out and I’ll mingle. After my rogue hunting spree.”

She barked four times, for ‘ok.’

I smiled at her and started getting my hunting stuff ready for tomorrow, until my phone rang.

I picked it up. “Hello?”

“Hello, sweetie.” My grandma’s voice echoed on he other line.

“Hi, grandma. What’s up.”

“We just wanted to check in. Did you find out where most of the rogues are?”

“Yep. They are in the south and east. I’m getting my stuff ready for tomorrow.” I answered.

“That’s great, but remember you said you’d make some friends.” She reminded.

“I know I promise I’ll go mingle after.”

“OK. We love you. Take care.”

“Bye.”

I hung up and got ready for bed.

Artemis’s POV

I woke up and Midnight’s tail was in my face.

I groaned and sat up. She just shook her head and went back to sleep.

I got up and did my bathroom routine.
